Role Overview:

As a Remote Chief IT Consultant, you will provide clients with strategic guidance and technical expertise, helping them leverage technology to achieve their business goals. You will lead complex IT initiatives, manage client relationships, and oversee a team of consultants. You will work closely with the executive leadership team to define the overall vision for the consulting practice and drive its growth. Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic IT Consulting: I provide strategic IT consulting services to clients, helping them align their technology initiatives with business objectives. I also develop and present technology roadmaps, digital transformation plans, and IT strategy recommendations.
• Client Engagement: Act as a trusted advisor to clients, understanding their needs, identifying opportunities for improvement, and providing value-driven IT solutions. Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships.
• Team Leadership: I will lead, mentor, and manage a team of IT consultants, ensuring high performance, motivation, and engagement. I will also foster a collaborative and supportive environment that encourages professional growth and development.
• Project Oversight: I oversee the delivery of IT consulting projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to clients' satisfaction. I also provide guidance and support to project managers and consultants to resolve challenges and deliver high-quality results.
• Digital Transformation: I lead digital transformation initiatives for clients, including cloud migration, IT modernization, and process automation. I ensure these initiatives support clients' strategic goals and provide measurable value.
• Technology Expertise: Leverage your expertise in IT infrastructure, software development, cloud technologies, and cybersecurity to provide tailored solutions to clients. Stay informed about emerging technologies and use this knowledge to advise clients on potential opportunities.
• Practice Growth: Contribute to the growth of the consulting practice by developing new service offerings, identifying market opportunities, and participating in business development efforts. Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to promote consulting services.
• Risk Management: Identify potential risks related to client engagements, IT projects, and consulting initiatives. Develop risk mitigation strategies to ensure successful project outcomes and minimize potential disruptions.
• Thought Leadership: Contribute to thought leadership initiatives by creating content, participating in industry events, and sharing insights on IT strategy and technology trends. Represent the consulting firm as a subject matter expert.
• IT Governance and Compliance: Ensure that IT solutions and consulting engagements adhere to industry standards, best practices, and regulatory requirements. Guide IT governance frameworks and compliance requirements.
• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, operations, finance, and HR, to ensure the successful execution of consulting projects and alignment with business objectives. Foster a culture of collaboration and innovation.
• Stakeholder Management: Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, partners, and senior leadership, to ensure alignment with business objectives and foster relationships that support the growth of the consulting practice.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum of 12 years of experience in IT consulting, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership role. Proven track record of delivering complex IT projects and managing consulting teams.
• Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of the IT consulting industry, including knowledge of market trends, emerging technologies, and best practices. Experience in digital transformation, cloud consulting, enterprise architecture, and IT strategy.
• Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire, motivate, and lead a high-performing team—experience leading geographically dispersed teams in a remote environment.
• Client Focus: Strong client engagement skills, focusing on delivering value and building long-term relationships—the ability to understand client challenges and provide strategic IT solutions that meet their needs.
• Business Acumen: Strong business acumen, able to identify opportunities, develop consulting services, and drive growth—experience with business development, sales, and client relationship management.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, team members, and senior management. Strong presentation skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Technical Expertise: Deep technical knowledge of IT infrastructure, software development, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), data analytics, and cybersecurity. Ability to provide strategic guidance on a wide range of IT topics.
• Project Management: Strong project management skills, with experience managing complex IT consulting engagements. Familiarity with project management methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall.
• Certifications: Relevant certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional), ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or other industry certifications are a plus.
