Key Responsibilities:

  1. Threat Detection and Response:
    • Monitor and analyze network traffic and security alerts to detect potential threats, vulnerabilities, and suspicious activities.
    • Investigate security incidents, determine root causes, and provide timely and effective remediation.
  2. Incident Management:
    • Manage and coordinate responses to security incidents, including communication with stakeholders and documentation of findings.
    • Develop and maintain incident response plans and playbooks to ensure readiness for attack scenarios.
  3. Vulnerability Assessment:
    • Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration tests to identify and address security weaknesses in systems, applications, and networks.
    • Work with IT teams to prioritize and remediate identified vulnerabilities.
  4. Security Operations and Maintenance:
    • I oversee implementing and maintaining security tools and technologies, such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and endpoint protection solutions.
    • Ensure the effective configuration and operation of security information and event management (SIEM) systems.
  5. Policy Development and Compliance:
    • Assist in developing and enforcing cybersecurity policies, standards, and best practices.
    • Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards such as GDPR, HIPAA, ISO 27001, and NIST frameworks.
  6. Threat Intelligence:
    • Gather and analyze threat intelligence from various sources to anticipate potential threats and adapt security measures accordingly.
    • Provide actionable insights and recommendations to improve the organization’s security posture.
  7. Collaboration and Training:
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote a security-first culture across the organization.
    • Conduct security awareness training for employees to reduce the risk of social engineering and phishing attacks.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field. Relevant certifications or equivalent experience may be considered.
  • Proven experience in a cybersecurity role, with a strong focus on threat detection, incident response, and vulnerability management.
  • Proficiency with security tools and technologies, including SIEM platforms, firewalls, antivirus software, and endpoint detection and response (EDR) solutions.
  • Solid understanding of network protocols, operating systems, and cybersecurity principles.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and standards such as GDPR, HIPAA, ISO 27001, and NIST frameworks.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think like an attacker to identify potential weaknesses.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • CISSP, CEH, GCIH, or similar certifications are highly desirable.

  • Master’s degree in Cybersecurity or a related field.
  • Experience with cloud security and securing hybrid or multi-cloud environments.
