Job Overview

We seek a skilled Remote Cardiology Transcriptionist to join our dynamic team. This role offers the flexibility of working from home while playing a crucial part in the healthcare documentation process. You will be responsible for transcribing and editing cardiology reports, ensuring that all medical information is accurately captured and appropriately formatted.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurate Transcription: Listen to dictated recordings from cardiologists and transcribe them into well-formatted medical reports, letters, and other documents.
• Editing and Proofreading: Review transcriptions for grammar, medical terminology, and formatting errors. Ensure consistency and accuracy in all documents.
• Medical Terminology Proficiency: Utilize an in-depth understanding of cardiology-specific terminology to accurately interpret and transcribe complex medical information.
• EMR Systems Usage: Efficiently input and manage patient data within Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems, maintaining up-to-date and accurate records.
• Confidentiality Maintenance: We will handle all patient information with the utmost confidentiality, adhering strictly to HIPAA regulations and company policies.
• Quality Assurance Participation: Engage in quality control processes to improve transcription accuracy and efficiency.
• Communication: Collaborate with healthcare professionals to clarify any ambiguities in dictated materials, ensuring clarity and precision in all documentation.

Qualifications

• Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Certification in medical transcription is highly preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical transcription, specifically in cardiology.
• Technical Skills:

  • Excellent typing speed of at least 65 words per minute with high accuracy.
  • Strong command of English grammar and punctuation.
• Medical Knowledge:
