Position Overview: The Remote E-Learning Specialist will be crucial in designing, developing, and implementing high-quality e-learning programs. This position requires a blend of instructional design expertise, technical proficiency, and a deep understanding of adult learning principles. The successful candidate will collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs), instructional designers, and other stakeholders to create engaging, effective, and scalable online learning experiences.

As a Remote E-Learning Specialist, you will create course content, develop multimedia elements, and ensure that all e-learning materials meet educational standards and the needs of our diverse learner base. You will also be expected to stay current with the latest trends and technologies in e-learning and integrate them into our offerings.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Instructional Design and Development:
   • Collaborate with SMEs and instructional designers to identify learning objectives and course requirements.
   • Develop and design interactive and engaging e-learning courses, modules, and assessments using industry-standard e-learning authoring tools such as Articulate 360, Adobe Captivate, or similar platforms.
   • Create multimedia elements, including videos, graphics, animations, and interactive simulations that enhance the learning experience.
   • Ensure all content is aligned with instructional design best practices and adult learning principles.
   • Review and update existing e-learning content to improve engagement and effectiveness.
2. Project Management:
   • Manage multiple e-learning projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
   • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to gather input, provide updates, and address any issues that may arise during the course development process.
   • Track project progress, manage timelines, and report on key milestones.
3. Quality Assurance:
   • Conduct thorough testing of e-learning courses to identify and fix any technical issues, usability problems, or content inaccuracies.
   • Implement feedback from users and stakeholders to improve the quality of e-learning materials continuously.
   • Ensure all courses are compatible with learning management systems (LMS) and adhere to accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG 2.1).
4. Training and Support:
   • Provide training and support to educators, instructors, and other users on effectively using e-learning platforms and materials.
   • Develop user guides, FAQs, and other support materials to assist users in navigating the e-learning courses.
   • Offer ongoing technical support and troubleshoot issues related to e-learning content and platforms.
5. Continuous Improvement:
   • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, tools, and technologies in e-learning and instructional design.
   • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
   • Propose and implement innovative ideas to improve the effectiveness and engagement of our e-learning offerings.
6. Data Analysis and Reporting:
   • Collect and analyze data on learner engagement, performance, and feedback to assess the effectiveness of e-learning courses.
   • Use data-driven insights to make informed decisions about course improvements and future e-learning initiatives.
   • Prepare reports and presentations for stakeholders that highlight key findings and recommendations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, Educational Technology, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in instructional design, e-learning development, or a related role.
• Proficiency with e-learning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate 360, Adobe Captivate, Camtasia).
• Strong understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE, SAM), and e-learning best practices.
• Excellent project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS) and SCORM/AICC standards.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote team environment.
• Experience with multimedia production (e.g., video editing, graphic design) is a plus.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
