Position Overview:

We seek a highly skilled and motivated Online Industrial Design Project Manager to oversee and manage our industrial design projects remotely. This role demands a potent blend of project management expertise, design acumen, and practical communication skills to drive projects from inception through completion while collaborating with cross-functional teams. The successful candidate will coordinate the efforts of designers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure the timely and successful delivery of design solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Project Planning and Execution:
   • Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, objectives, timelines, and deliverables.
   • Set and manage project milestones, ensuring alignment with overall business goals.
   • Oversee the entire project lifecycle, from initial concept through final delivery.
2. Team Coordination:
   • Lead and coordinate activities of the design team, including industrial designers, engineers, and other relevant personnel.
   • Facilitate regular team meetings to track progress, address challenges, and ensure adherence to project schedules.
   • Foster a collaborative environment that encourages creativity and innovation.
3. Client and Stakeholder Management:
   • Act as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders, managing expectations and providing regular updates.
   • Gather and analyze client feedback to refine design processes and deliverables.
   • Ensure that all stakeholder requirements are accurately captured and addressed throughout the project.
4. Resource Management:
   • Allocate and manage project resources efficiently, including budget, tools, and personnel.
   • Identify and mitigate risks related to project timelines, scope, or resources.
   • Optimize resource utilization to enhance productivity and project outcomes.
5. Quality Assurance:
   • Monitor and maintain the quality of design deliverables, ensuring they meet or exceed industry standards.
   • Implement and oversee design review processes to ensure all work is thoroughly vetted and approved.
   • Address and resolve quality issues promptly to avoid delays and maintain project integrity.
6. Process Improvement:
   • Continuously evaluate project processes and workflows to identify areas for improvement.
   • Implement best practices and innovative solutions to enhance project efficiency and effectiveness.
   • Document and share lessons learned from each project to drive ongoing improvements.
7. Documentation and Reporting:
   • Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including plans, schedules, and status reports.
   • Prepared and presented comprehensive project reports to senior management and stakeholders.
   • Ensure that all project-related documentation is appropriately archived and accessible.
8. Technical Expertise:
   • Utilize industry-standard design software and tools to support project execution.
   • Stay abreast of the latest trends and technologies in industrial design to bring fresh perspectives to projects.
   • Provide technical guidance and support to team members as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design, Engineering, or a related field. A master’s degree is a plus.
• Proven experience as a Project Manager in industrial design or a related field, with a track record of successfully managing complex projects.
• Strong knowledge of industrial design principles, processes, and best practices.
• Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar tools.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and clients.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing project requirements and priorities.
• Experience in remote team management and familiarity with remote collaboration tools.
