Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Remote Benefits Coordinator to join our dynamic team. This role is vital to managing and overseeing employee benefits programs, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations, and enhancing employee satisfaction through effective benefits administration. As a Remote Benefits Coordinator, you will have the opportunity to work from the comfort of your home while playing a crucial role in our organization’s human resources department.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Benefits Administration:
    • Administer and manage employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, wellness programs, and other perks.
    • Act as the primary point of contact for employees regarding benefits-related inquiries, issues, and enrollments.
    • Ensure accurate and timely enrollment, changes, and terminations of benefits.
  2. Compliance and Reporting:
    • Monitor and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations related to employee benefits, such as ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA, and the Affordable Care Act (ACA).
    • Prepare and submit required reports and documentation to regulatory agencies and insurance carriers.
    • Conduct regular audits of benefits processes and documentation to ensure adherence to policies and regulations.
  3. Vendor Management:
    • Liaise with benefits vendors, brokers, and insurance carriers to manage relationships and resolve issues.
    • Review and negotiate contracts with benefits providers to ensure competitive pricing and service quality.
    • Track and manage vendor performance and address any service-related concerns.
  4. Employee Support and Communication:
    • Develop and deliver benefits education and communication materials to employees, including benefits guides, newsletters, and webinars.
    • Conduct benefits orientations for new hires and provide ongoing support to employees regarding benefits options and usage.
    • Assist with the resolution of benefits-related issues and disputes, ensuring prompt and satisfactory outcomes.
  5. Benefits Strategy and Improvement:
    • Analyze and evaluate existing benefits programs to recommend enhancements or changes based on employee feedback and market trends.
    • Collaborate with HR leadership to develop and implement benefits strategies that align with organizational goals and support employee well-being.
    • Stay current on industry trends and best practices to ensure the benefits programs remain competitive and effective.
  6. Data Management and Analysis:
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date benefits records and documentation in HRIS and other relevant systems.
    • Analyze benefits data to identify trends, assess program effectiveness, and support decision-making processes.
    • Generate and present reports on benefits usage, costs, and employee satisfaction to HR leadership and other stakeholders.
  7. Project Management:
    • Lead or participate in benefits-related projects, such as benefits program redesigns, system implementations, or open enrollment initiatives.
    • Develop project plans, timelines, and deliverables, ensuring successful completion within scope and deadlines.
    • Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to ensure project objectives are met.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in benefits administration or a related HR role.
  • Strong knowledge of employee benefits programs, regulations, and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with employees at all levels.
  • Proficiency in HRIS and benefits administration software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • High level of integrity and confidentiality in handling sensitive employee information.

Salary and Benefits:
