Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and proactive Remote Benefits Manager to join our team. In this role, you will oversee the development, implementation, and management of our employee benefits programs. Your primary goal will be to ensure that our benefits offerings align with the companyโ€™s strategic objectives, enhance employee satisfaction, and comply with relevant regulations. This is a full-time remote position offering an annual salary of $132,534.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Benefits Strategy Development:
    • Develop and implement a comprehensive benefits strategy that aligns with organizational goals and employee needs.
    • Conduct regular market research and benchmarking to ensure our benefits packages remain competitive and attractive.
    • Collaborate with senior management to align benefits strategies with overall business objectives.
  2. Program Management:
    • Oversee the day-to-day management of all employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, wellness programs, and other ancillary benefits.
    • Ensure that all benefits programs are effectively communicated to employees, including creating and distributing benefits materials and managing the benefits portal.
    • Monitor and evaluate the performance of benefits programs, making recommendations for improvements as needed.
  3. Compliance and Administration:
    • Ensure that all benefits programs comply with federal, state, and local regulations, including ERISA, HIPAA, and ACA requirements.
    • Manage the annual benefits open enrollment process, including coordinating with insurance carriers, preparing enrollment materials, and conducting employee information sessions.
    • Address and resolve any benefits-related issues or inquiries from employees in a timely and professional manner.
  4. Vendor Management:
    • Manage relationships with benefits vendors and insurance carriers, including negotiating contracts, managing service levels, and overseeing performance.
    • Conduct regular reviews of vendor performance and identify opportunities for cost savings or service improvements.
    • Coordinate with vendors to ensure smooth implementation and administration of benefits programs.
  5. Data Analysis and Reporting:
    • Analyze benefits data and metrics to assess the effectiveness of benefits programs and identify trends or areas for improvement.
    • Prepare and present reports on benefits utilization, costs, and other key metrics to senior management and other stakeholders.
    • Use data insights to drive decision-making and continuous improvement of benefits offerings.
  6. Employee Support and Communication:
    • Provide expert guidance to employees on benefits-related questions and issues, ensuring they have a clear understanding of their options and how to make the most of their benefits.
    • Develop and deliver training sessions and communications to educate employees about benefits programs and changes.
    • Foster a positive and supportive work environment by addressing employee concerns and feedback related to benefits.
  7. Project Management:
    • Lead and participate in special projects related to benefits, such as program enhancements, system implementations, or organizational changes.
    • Collaborate with other HR functions and departments to ensure integrated and efficient delivery of benefits services.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS)) is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in benefits management, with a strong understanding of employee benefits programs and related regulations.
  • Proven experience in managing benefits programs and working with benefits vendors and insurance carriers.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with employees at all levels and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Proficiency in benefits administration software and tools, with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a remote work environment.

Working Conditions:

  • This is a remote position, allowing you to work from anywhere with a reliable internet connection.
  • Occasional travel may be required for meetings or vendor visits.
  • Flexible work hours are available to accommodate different time zones and personal schedules.

Compensation:

  • The annual salary for this position is $132,534.
