Position Overview:

We seek a dynamic and experienced Online Professional Development Specialist to join our remote team. This role is crucial in designing, implementing, and managing online professional development programs that cater to the needs of various professionals and organizations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in instructional design, online education, and professional development and a passion for enhancing learning experiences in a digital environment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Program Development and Management:
   • Design comprehensive online professional development programs, courses, and workshops that align with industry standards and learner needs.
   • Conduct needs assessments and gather feedback to identify gaps and opportunities for new training programs.
   • Oversee the entire lifecycle of online courses, including planning, development, delivery, and evaluation.
2. Content Creation:
   • Create engaging and interactive instructional materials such as e-learning modules, webinars, videos, and other digital resources.
   • Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure content accuracy, relevance, and alignment with learning objectives.
   • To enhance learner engagement, develop and integrate multimedia elements, including graphics, animations, and simulations.
3. Platform Management:
   • Manage and optimize online learning platforms and Learning Management Systems (LMS) to ensure a seamless and user-friendly experience for learners.
   • Troubleshoot technical issues and support users experiencing difficulties with online courses and platforms.
4. Evaluation and Improvement:
   • Implement assessment tools and methods to evaluate the effectiveness of professional development programs and learner outcomes.
   • Analyze data and feedback to improve course content, delivery methods, and overall program quality.
   • Prepare reports and presentations on program performance, learner satisfaction, and areas for improvement.
5. Stakeholder Collaboration:
   • Collaborate with internal teams, stakeholders, and external partners to ensure alignment with organizational goals and industry trends.
   • Provide guidance and support to facilitators and instructors who deliver online courses and training sessions.
   • Represent the organization at professional development events and conferences to stay current with industry practices and innovations.
6. Project Management:
   • Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets for online professional development initiatives.
   • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion and adherence to quality standards.
   • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution and delivery.
7. Professional Development:
   • Stay current with emerging trends and best practices in online education and professional development.
   • Pursue ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge relevant to the role.
   • Share insights and innovations with the team to foster a culture of continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
• At least 3-5 years of experience designing and delivering online professional development programs or courses.
• Proficiency with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and online course development tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate).
• Strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create explicit and engaging content.
• Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Experience with data analysis and reporting to evaluate program effectiveness and make data-driven decisions.
• Ability to work independently and remotely while collaborating effectively with a virtual team.
• Familiarity with current trends and technologies in online learning and professional development.
