Job Summary:
We seek an experienced and proactive Digital Employee Relations Specialist to join our dynamic Human Resources (HR) team. You will handle employee relations across a globally distributed workforce in this remote role. The Specialist will work closely with employees, managers, and HR teams to promote a positive work environment, ensure fair treatment, and resolve workplace conflicts. Key Responsibilities:
- Employee Relations Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employee relations matters, including workplace disputes, disciplinary actions, and performance management issues.
- Conduct thorough and impartial investigations into employee concerns, grievances, and complaints in a timely and confidential manner.
- Guide managers and employees on conflict resolution, policy interpretation, and best practices for maintaining a positive work environment.
- Ensure all employee relations issues are handled in compliance with local, state, and federal employment laws and company policies and procedures.
- Develop and implement employee relations strategies to enhance employee engagement, retention, and job satisfaction.
- Conflict Resolution
- Facilitate constructive communication and negotiation between employees and managers to resolve conflicts and maintain positive working relationships.
- Utilize mediation and conflict resolution techniques to address workplace disputes and foster a collaborative and inclusive work culture.
- Provide coaching and training to managers on effective conflict resolution strategies and addressing employee concerns with sensitivity and professionalism.
- Policy Development and Compliance
- Collaborate with the HR team to review, update, and implement company policies, procedures, and guidelines related to employee relations.
- Ensure that company policies align with current employment laws and best practices.
- Assist in creating and delivering employee handbooks, training materials, and other resources to educate employees and managers about their rights and responsibilities.
- Monitor changes in employment laws and regulations, ensuring the company complies with all legal requirements in the various regions where employees are located.
- Performance Management
- Provide guidance and support to managers during performance reviews, disciplinary actions, and terminations.
- Assisted in developing performance improvement plans (PIPs) for underperforming employees and coached managers on delivering constructive feedback.
- Support managers in documenting performance issues, ensuring fair and consistent treatment across the organization.
- Data Analysis and Reporting
- Analyze employee relations trends and metrics to identify areas of concern or opportunities for improvement.
- Provide regular reports to HR leadership on employee relations cases, including outcomes, time to resolution, and any emerging trends.
- Utilize data to recommend improvements in workplace practices, policies, and procedures that promote a positive and productive work environment.
- Training and Development
- Design and deliver employee relations training programs for managers and employees, focusing on topics such as conflict resolution, workplace harassment prevention, and effective communication.
- Partner with the Learning & Development team to ensure that employee relations training is integrated into broader leadership development programs.
- Act as a resource for employees and managers, guiding professional development and career advancement opportunities.
- Remote Work Environment Management
- Develop and implement best practices for managing employee relations in a fully remote, distributed workforce.
- Ensure that remote employees receive the same support and resources as their in-office counterparts.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in employee relations, conflict resolution, or HR management.
- In-depth knowledge of employment laws, including but not limited to FMLA, ADA, Title VII, FLSA, and other relevant labor regulations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle sensitive and complex employee relations issues with discretion.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence at all levels of the organization.
- Proficiency with HRIS systems and digital communication tools (Slack, Zoom, Microsoft Teams, etc.).
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple cases simultaneously in a fast-paced, remote work environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.

- Professional HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR).
- Experience working in a remote or distributed team environment.
