Position Overview
The HR Tech Integration Specialist plays a critical role in the seamless integration and implementation of HR technology solutions. As the key point of contact between HR and IT teams, this role is responsible for ensuring that various HR systems, including Human Capital Management (HCM) platforms, payroll software, performance management systems, and other related HR technologies, are fully integrated and functioning efficiently across the organization. The Specialist will analyze current HR processes, provide recommendations for improvements, and ensure that all HR technology aligns with organizational goals. This is a fully remote position offering a unique opportunity to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams in various time zones.

Key Responsibilities

  1. HR Technology Integration
    • Lead the end-to-end integration of various HR systems, ensuring all tools work seamlessly together to meet the organization’s needs.
    • Collaborate with HR, IT, and external vendors to design, test, and implement integrations between different HR platforms, including HCM, payroll, benefits administration, and recruitment systems.
    • Maintain data integrity across systems by implementing automated workflows and troubleshooting integration issues in real time.
  2. Technical Support and Troubleshooting
    • Serve as the primary technical contact for HR teams to troubleshoot any integration-related issues or system malfunctions.
    • Monitor the performance of HR technology integrations and ensure all systems are operating optimally.
    • Conduct regular system audits and generate reports to ensure data accuracy and compliance with company standards.
    • Identify system deficiencies and make recommendations for enhancements or updates.
  3. System Configuration and Customization
    • Configure and customize HR software systems to meet organizational requirements, ensuring alignment with HR goals, policies, and procedures.
    • Oversee the configuration of API integrations between HR platforms, working closely with developers and technical teams to ensure smooth implementation.
    • Assist HR teams in customizing workflows, forms, and reports that align with business requirements and ensure the technology supports these customizations.
  4. Stakeholder Collaboration
    • Act as a liaison between HR, IT, and external vendors, ensuring effective communication and collaboration on all projects.
    • Work closely with HR leadership to understand business needs and provide insights on how technology can support those needs.
    • Provide project updates, technical advice, and documentation to various stakeholders, ensuring transparency in all HR technology projects.
  5. Training and Documentation
    • Develop and deliver training sessions to HR staff and end-users on how to effectively use HR technology tools and integrated systems.
    • Create and maintain detailed user guides, manuals, and other training materials to ensure system knowledge is retained and accessible across teams.
    • Lead workshops or webinars to keep teams up to date on system changes, new features, and best practices.
  6. Compliance and Data Security
    • Ensure that all HR technology solutions adhere to local, federal, and international data privacy regulations (such as GDPR or CCPA), as applicable.
    • Implement and monitor data protection measures to secure sensitive HR data from unauthorized access or breaches.
    • Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to stay informed about regulatory changes and update systems accordingly.
  7. Process Improvement and Optimization
    • Continuously evaluate and refine existing HR processes and systems, identifying opportunities for automation and improved efficiency.
    • Research and recommend new HR technologies or enhancements to current systems, keeping the organization up-to-date with the latest innovations in HR tech.
    • Develop key performance metrics and analytical reports that help HR leadership understand how the technology is impacting overall HR operations.
  8. Project Management
    • Manage HR technology integration projects from start to finish, including defining project scope, setting timelines, and assigning responsibilities.
    • Use project management tools to track project milestones, ensure timely completion, and manage any risks or issues that arise during implementation.
    • Ensure that all HR technology projects stay within budget and meet stakeholder expectations.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. A Master’s degree is preferred but not required.
  • Experience:
    • At least 5-7 years of experience in HR technology integration, HRIS management, or a similar role.
    • Proven experience working with HCM, payroll, benefits, or performance management systems.
    • Experience with integration platforms (such as MuleSoft, Workato, etc.) and APIs is a plus.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Expertise in HR technology platforms such as Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, Oracle HCM, ADP, or similar.
    • Proficiency in SQL, XML, and other database management systems.
    • Strong understanding of API development and integration processes.
    • Familiarity with data mapping, migration, and transformation techniques.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
    • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
    • Project management skills, including experience managing multiple complex projects concurrently.
    • Ability to work independently in a remote environment while maintaining strong collaboration with remote teams.
    • High attention to detail and commitment to maintaining data accuracy and security.
