Annual Salary: $67,701

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and driven Lean Six Sigma Consultant to join our team in a fully remote capacity. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading and executing process improvement initiatives, applying Lean Six Sigma methodologies to enhance operational efficiency and drive quality improvements across various departments. This role is pivotal in fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence within our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Process Improvement Initiatives:
    • Lead cross-functional teams in identifying opportunities for process improvement using Lean Six Sigma tools and techniques.
    • Conduct comprehensive assessments of current processes and workflows to identify inefficiencies and areas for enhancement.
  2. Data Analysis and Reporting:
    • Gather and analyze data to identify trends and performance metrics that support project goals.
    • Develop and present detailed reports and dashboards that communicate project outcomes and performance improvements to stakeholders.
  3. Training and Mentorship:
    • Provide training and support to team members in Lean Six Sigma methodologies, tools, and techniques.
    • Act as a mentor to less experienced staff and contribute to the development of a culture of continuous improvement.
  4. Project Management:
    • Planned, executed, and managed process improvement projects from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
    • Collaborate with project teams to establish clear goals, deliverables, and success criteria.
  5. Stakeholder Engagement:
    • Engage with stakeholders at all levels of the organization to understand their needs and priorities.
    • Communicate project objectives, progress, and results effectively to ensure stakeholder buy-in and support.
  6. Performance Measurement:
    • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of process improvement initiatives.
    • Conduct regular reviews of project outcomes against established metrics and adjust strategies as needed.
  7. Sustainability of Improvements:
    • Implement mechanisms to ensure that improvements are sustainable over the long term.
    • Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) and training materials to facilitate ongoing adherence to best practices.
  8. Compliance and Standards:
    • Ensure all process improvement initiatives comply with relevant regulatory and organizational standards.
    • Stay informed about industry best practices and trends to continuously enhance the organization’s Lean Six Sigma capabilities.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree or MBA is preferred.
  • Certification: Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification is required. Other relevant certifications in process improvement or project management are a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in process improvement, project management, or a related field, with a proven track record of successfully leading Lean Six Sigma projects.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Minitab) and project management software. Familiarity with statistical analysis and process mapping techniques is essential.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and persuasively to diverse audiences.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on identifying root causes and developing actionable solutions.
  • Team Player: Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a remote team environment, fostering strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
