Key Responsibilities
API Architecture & Development
- Design and implement RESTful and event-driven APIs from the ground up.
- Build microservices that follow domain-driven design principles.
- Create scalable authentication and authorization systems using OAuth2 and JWT.
Performance & Reliability
- Optimize API endpoints for speed, fault tolerance, and memory efficiency.
- Integrate caching layers using Redis or Memcached.
- Use rate limiting and throttling techniques to maintain service integrity.
Documentation & Standards
- Produce OpenAPI specifications and maintain up-to-date documentation.
- Follow API versioning best practices to ensure backward compatibility.
- Enforce standards through linters, schema validation, and CI pipelines.
Collaboration & Support
- Work closely with frontend and mobile developers to streamline integration.
- Liaise with DevOps engineers to automate deployment workflows.
- Participate in daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and design reviews.
