Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and oversee the entire release management lifecycle
- Work with QA engineers, developers, and project managers to define release scope
- Establish and communicate clear release schedules to all stakeholders
- Maintain detailed release documentation, including timelines, checklists, and risk assessments
- Monitor test environments, ensuring availability and stability during critical phases
- Conduct readiness reviews and post-release evaluations to identify improvement areas
- Track bugs and validate fixes to support clean, bug-free rollouts
- Ensure all releases follow company change control processes and documentation
Essential Skills and Expertise
- Strong experience in release coordination or software quality assurance roles
- Familiarity with agile development cycles and sprint planning
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
- Ability to manage multiple releases concurrently with minimal supervision
- Keen attention to detail in managing test cases, logs, and deployment artifacts
- Solid understanding of SDLC, DevOps practices, and CI/CD pipelines
Preferred Tools & Technology Exposure
- Test management tools like TestRail or Zephyr
- Version control systems like Git or Bitbucket
- Automation platforms such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or CircleCI
- Defect tracking via Jira or Azure DevOps
- Collaboration with distributed teams using Slack, MS Teams, and Confluence
- Familiarity with containerized deployments (Docker/Kubernetes) is a plus
