About the Role

As a Refinance Loan Processor, you'll manage refinance loan files from initial submission through final approval. Your day-to-day will involve coordinating with underwriters, borrowers, and third parties to ensure timely and accurate processing. Key Responsibilities

Managing Refinance Loan Files

• Collect, review, and verify borrower documentation, including income statements, credit reports, and property details.
• Ensure all required paperwork is accurate and complete for underwriting
• Communicate proactively with clients to guide them through the refinancing process

Collaborating With Cross-Functional Teams

• Coordinate with underwriters to address questions and facilitate clearances.
• Work alongside loan officers and support teams to ensure a smooth workflow
• Maintain timely updates in the loan origination system

Quality Assurance and Compliance

• Conduct initial and ongoing audits of loan files for compliance and completeness.
• Stay informed on current mortgage regulations and lending guidelines
• Flag potential risks and help maintain a compliant, client-focused process

Tools and Technologies

You’ll use industry-standard platforms and technologies that support efficient, secure, and accurate loan processing to succeed in this role. Familiarity with the following is a plus:

• Encompass LOS or equivalent loan origination system
• Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Outlook
• Secure document management tools such as DocuSign and ShareFile

Qualifications

Must-Have Skills

• 2+ years of hands-on experience in refinance loan processing, mortgage support, or related financial services
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy with loan documentation
• Proficient communication skills for collaborating with clients and team members in a remote setting

• Understanding of current refinancing programs and guidelines (FHA, VA, conventional loans)
