About the Role
In this role, you will serve as a trusted legal advisor on privacy and cybersecurity matters, collaborating across departments to design and execute initiatives that align with global data protection standards. Key Responsibilities
Legal Advisory and Compliance
- Interpret and advise on data protection laws such as GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, HIPAA, and other emerging privacy regulations.
- Provide legal counsel on cybersecurity frameworks and risk management strategies.
Contract and Documentation Oversight
- Draft, review, and negotiate data protection agreements, including DPAs and standard contractual clauses.
- Collaborate with compliance, IT, HR, and operations teams to operationalize privacy by design.
Risk Management and Policy Development
- Monitor legal and regulatory developments and help craft agile policies that reflect changes.
- Support incident response teams during investigations of data breaches and regulatory inquiries.
Program Governance
- Oversee global privacy impact assessments and compliance audits.
- Guide training initiatives that foster a culture of privacy and data stewardship.

Education and Licensing

- Strong command of data protection legislation, including GDPR, CCPA, and industry-specific standards
Skills and Certifications

- CIPP/US, CIPP/E, or similar privacy certifications preferred but not required
