What You'll Do
Lead Regulatory Compliance Frameworks
- Interpret, draft, and maintain legal policies to ensure ongoing compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to analyze the regulatory impact of new product launches and tech deployments.
- Support the implementation of compliance strategies across remote infrastructures and cloud-based systems.
Conduct Real-Time Legal Risk Assessments
- Utilize data analytics tools to detect regulatory gaps and provide proactive legal recommendations.
- Oversee internal audits and recommend corrective actions using compliance intelligence platforms.
- Develop risk mitigation strategies tailored for fintech, SaaS, and digital service environments.
Guide Business Decisions with Legal Clarity
- Advise leadership on the legal implications of operational strategies, platform updates, and data use protocols.
- Act as a legal resource in contract negotiations, policy development, and government inquiries.
- Ensure that all written legal opinions and policy updates are archived within a secure document automation platform.

Who You Are
Core Qualifications
- JD degree from an accredited U.S. law school; active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
- Minimum 5 years of experience focused on regulatory law, preferably in a remote-first or SaaS-driven organization.
- Proven ability to interpret statutes, rules, and administrative guidance across multi-jurisdictional environments
Preferred Competencies
- Experience advising fintech or healthcare SaaS platforms on regulatory issues
- Working knowledge of GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, SOX, and related federal/state regulations
- Ability to convert legal requirements into operational workflows that are easily understood across departments
- Experience using legal management systems (e.g., Ironclad, CLM software) to track case status and deliverables
