Key Responsibilities: Where Your Expertise Meets Innovation
Strategic Privacy Leadership
- Design, implement, and oversee a comprehensive privacy program aligned with global regulatory standards, including the GDPR, CCPA, and CPRA.
- Provide strategic legal guidance on novel data use cases, ensuring ethical application of information in emerging technologies.
Risk Assessment & Compliance
- Conduct proactive audits and impact assessments to identify and mitigate potential privacy risks across internal departments.
- Advise on cross-border data transfers and international compliance frameworks.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with engineering, product, and compliance teams to embed privacy-by-design principles from development to deployment.
- Lead internal training programs to elevate awareness of privacy obligations company-wide.
External Engagement
- Liaise with external regulators, industry associations, and privacy advocacy groups to monitor trends and participate in shaping industry standards.
- Review and negotiate privacy-related terms in vendor agreements, SaaS contracts, and data processing addendums.

Qualifications: Expertise That Makes a Difference
Required Background
- Juris Doctor or equivalent legal qualification and authorization with authorization to provide legal counsel within any recognized U.S. state or territory.
- A minimum of 6 years of experience with an intense concentration in data privacy, data security, and digital compliance.
Core Competencies
- Deep familiarity with evolving privacy regulations such as GDPR, CPRA, ePrivacy Directive, and others.
- Exceptional ability to translate complex regulatory requirements into practical business actions.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a consultative approach and strategic mindset.

Preferred Experience
- IAPP certifications (CIPP/US, CIPP/E, CIPM) are highly desirable.
