Salary: $132,500 per year

Overview: We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Chief Diversity Officer (CDO) to lead and drive our diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) strategy. This remote position offers an exciting opportunity to shape and implement policies and initiatives that foster an inclusive and equitable work environment across all levels of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Leadership:
    • Develop and implement a comprehensive DEI strategy aligned with the organizationโ€™s mission, values, and business goals.
    • Collaborate with senior leadership to integrate DEI principles into business practices and organizational culture.
    • Establish measurable goals and objectives for diversity and inclusion, and track progress against these goals.
  2. Policy Development and Implementation:
    • Create and refine policies and programs to support a diverse and inclusive workplace.
    • Ensure that DEI policies comply with relevant laws and regulations, and are effectively communicated and enforced across the organization.
    • Advise on best practices for recruiting, retaining, and advancing diverse talent.
  3. Program Management:
    • Oversee the development and execution of DEI training and education programs for employees at all levels.
    • Manage DEI-related initiatives, including employee resource groups, mentorship programs, and community outreach efforts.
    • Coordinate with other departments to integrate DEI into talent management processes, such as performance evaluations and career development.
  4. Employee Engagement and Support:
    • Foster a culture of inclusion by actively engaging with employees and addressing their concerns related to diversity and inclusion.
    • Develop and implement strategies to increase employee engagement and satisfaction with DEI efforts.
    • Provide support and resources for employees from underrepresented groups to ensure their success and well-being within the organization.
  5. Data Analysis and Reporting:
    • Collect and analyze data related to diversity and inclusion, including workforce demographics, employee feedback, and program effectiveness.
    • Prepare and present regular reports to senior leadership and other stakeholders on DEI progress and impact.
    • Use data-driven insights to identify areas for improvement and adjust strategies as needed.
  6. External Relations and Networking:
    • Build and maintain relationships with external organizations, partners, and community groups to advance the organizationโ€™s DEI goals.
    • Represent the organization at conferences, seminars, and other events focused on diversity and inclusion.
    • Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and emerging issues related to DEI.
  7. Team Leadership and Development:
    • Lead and mentor a team of DEI professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure their success.
    • Foster a collaborative and innovative environment within the DEI team, encouraging continuous learning and professional development.
    • Allocate resources effectively to achieve DEI objectives and manage the DEI budget.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, or a related field. Masterโ€™s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in diversity, equity, and inclusion roles, with at least 5 years in a leadership capacity.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful DEI strategies and programs.
  • Deep understanding of diversity and inclusion principles, best practices, and current trends.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and generate actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience in a remote work environment and ability to manage a remote team effectively.
  • Demonstrated commitment to promoting a diverse and inclusive workplace.
