Digital Learning Consultant

Job Overview:
We seek a highly skilled Digital Learning Consultant to join our dynamic team. In this remote role, you will design, implement, and optimize digital learning solutions that enhance educational outcomes and drive organizational performance. The ideal candidate will have a strong instructional design and e-learning development background and a deep understanding of digital learning technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Needs Assessment and Analysis:
- Conduct comprehensive needs assessments to identify learning gaps and opportunities within the organization.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into actionable learning objectives and strategies.
- Analyze learner data and feedback to improve the effectiveness of digital learning programs continuously.
- Instructional Design and Development:
- Design and develop engaging and interactive digital learning content, including e-learning modules, webinars, and multimedia resources.
- Apply instructional design principles and best practices to create learner-centered materials that meet organizational goals.
- Utilize authoring tools and learning management systems (LMS) to create and deliver high-quality digital learning experiences.
- Technology Integration:
- Evaluate and recommend digital learning technologies and tools that align with organizational needs and enhance the learning experience.
- Stay current with emerging trends and technologies in the digital learning space to ensure the adoption of innovative solutions.
- Integrate various technologies, such as virtual classrooms, mobile learning, and gamification, into the learning design to enhance engagement and effectiveness.
- Project Management:
- Manage multiple digital learning projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
- Develop project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation, to ensure successful execution.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including subject matter experts, graphic designers, and developers, to ensure project objectives are met.
- Evaluation and Reporting:
- Develop and implement evaluation methods to assess the effectiveness of digital learning programs and identify areas for improvement.
- Create detailed reports and analytics on learner progress, program effectiveness, and overall impact on organizational goals.
- Provide recommendations for continuous improvement based on evaluation findings and feedback.
- Training and Support:
- Provide training and support to end-users and stakeholders on digital learning tools and platforms.
- Develop user guides, training materials, and support resources to facilitate adopting and utilizing digital learning solutions.
- Address technical issues and provide solutions to ensure a seamless learning experience for all users.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Foster strong relationships with stakeholders, including educators, trainers, and organizational leaders, to ensure alignment and support for digital learning initiatives.
- Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to inform them of project progress, challenges, and successes.
- Facilitate meetings, workshops, and presentations to share insights, updates, and best practices related to digital learning.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Learning and Development, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in instructional design, e-learning development, or digital learning consulting.
- Proven experience with e-learning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate) and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
- Strong understanding of instructional design models, adult learning principles, and digital learning technologies.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Exceptional communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote work environment.
- Familiarity with data analysis and evaluation methods to assess learning outcomes and program effectiveness.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with advanced digital learning technologies such as virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), and artificial intelligence (AI).
- Certification in project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) or instructional design (e.g., ATD, ISPI) is a plus.
- Knowledge of industry-specific learning needs and challenges related to the organization’s field.
