Digital Training Consultant (Remote)

As a Digital Training Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and delivering digital training programs that support the organization's goals for growth and innovation. This remote position allows you to work from any location while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality training solutions. Key Responsibilities:
- Training Program Design and Development:
- Work with stakeholders to assess the organization's training needs and develop customized digital training strategies that align with business goals.
- Design engaging and interactive eLearning modules, courses, and assessments using industry-standard tools such as Articulate 360, Adobe Captivate, or similar platforms.
- Develop training content that addresses various learning styles and multimedia components, such as video tutorials, quizzes, animations, and interactive elements.
- Ensure all training materials are up-to-date, accessible, and user-friendly across different devices and platforms.
- Digital Learning Strategy:
- Develop a digital learning strategy that maximizes learner engagement, retention, and application of new skills.
- Create frameworks and guidelines for digital learning experiences, ensuring they are aligned with the latest learning theories and methodologies.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends in digital education and incorporate best practices into the training materials and delivery mechanisms.
- Work with instructional designers and subject matter experts to ensure content accuracy and relevance.
- Training Delivery and Facilitation:
- Lead and facilitate live virtual training sessions, webinars, and workshops, ensuring participants are engaged and can easily follow along.
- Provide one-on-one coaching or group mentoring sessions to support learners' development further.
- Utilize different learning management systems (LMS) such as Moodle, Blackboard, or Canvas to deliver training and track learners' progress and performance.
- Foster a collaborative learning environment through discussion boards, online forums, and interactive tools to encourage participant communication.
- Training Evaluation and Improvement:
- Regularly assess the effectiveness of digital training programs through participant feedback, assessments, and learning outcomes.
- Use data-driven insights to identify areas for improvement in both content and delivery methods, ensuring continuous enhancement of the learning experience.
- Collaborate with team members to gather performance metrics and apply them to improve future training sessions.
- Continuously update and refine training content to reflect technological advancements, changes in company policies, or new product launches.
- Consultation and Collaboration:
- Provide expert advice and guidance as a key consultant for departments that require training and development solutions.
- Act as a liaison between internal teams, subject matter experts, and external vendors to ensure timely and effective delivery of training programs.
- Coordinate with IT and operations teams to ensure that the necessary technology infrastructure is in place to support training initiatives.
- Communicate effectively with senior leadership to report on the progress and impact of digital training efforts.
- Project Management:
- Oversee the lifecycle of training projects, from initial conception and design to implementation and evaluation.
- Effectively manage timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure all training projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Develop comprehensive project plans and work with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful completion of all training initiatives.
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to address issues during the project lifecycle.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Instructional Design, Learning and Development, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
- At least 5 years of experience in digital training, eLearning design, or instructional design.
- Proven track record of developing and delivering successful digital training programs in a corporate or educational setting.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficient in eLearning development software such as Articulate 360, Adobe Captivate, Camtasia, or similar.
- Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) like Moodle, Blackboard, or Canvas.
- Knowledge of virtual training tools like Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and GoToWebinar.
- Strong understanding of multimedia creation, including video, audio, and animation production.
- Other Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.
- Strong project management skills, including managing multiple projects simultaneously and meeting deadlines.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment.
- Familiarity with adult learning principles, instructional design methodologies, and the ADDIE model.
