Location: Remote

Salary: $132,774 annually

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) Consultant to join our team remotely. The ideal candidate will be an experienced professional with a deep understanding of diversity, equity, and inclusion principles, and a proven track record of implementing effective D&I strategies within organizations. This role requires a dynamic individual who can drive organizational change, develop and execute comprehensive D&I programs, and foster an inclusive workplace culture.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategy Development and Implementation:
    • Design and implement comprehensive diversity and inclusion strategies that align with the organization’s goals and values.
    • Develop and manage long-term D&I initiatives, including setting objectives, creating action plans, and measuring progress.
    • Analyze organizational needs and recommend strategies to enhance diversity and foster an inclusive environment.
  2. Training and Education:
    • Develop and deliver training programs on diversity, equity, and inclusion topics, including unconscious bias, cultural competency, and inclusive leadership.
    • Collaborate with other departments to integrate D&I principles into their training programs and professional development initiatives.
    • Create and distribute educational materials to raise awareness and promote understanding of D&I issues.
  3. Policy and Procedure Development:
    • Review and update organizational policies and procedures to ensure they promote diversity and inclusion.
    • Advise on best practices for recruitment, retention, and advancement of diverse talent.
    • Work with HR to ensure that D&I considerations are incorporated into employee relations, compensation, and performance management.
  4. Data Analysis and Reporting:
    • Collect, analyze, and interpret data related to diversity metrics and trends.
    • Prepare and present reports to senior leadership on the effectiveness of D&I initiatives and recommend improvements.
    • Monitor and evaluate the impact of D&I programs and adjust strategies as needed to achieve desired outcomes.
  5. Stakeholder Engagement:
    • Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders to promote D&I initiatives and gather feedback.
    • Act as a consultant and advisor to leadership teams, employee resource groups, and other key stakeholders on D&I matters.
    • Facilitate conversations and workshops to address and resolve issues related to diversity and inclusion.
  6. Advocacy and Community Engagement:
    • Represent the organization in external forums, conferences, and community events related to diversity and inclusion.
    • Develop partnerships with organizations and institutions that support D&I goals and initiatives.
    • Stay updated on industry trends, research, and best practices in diversity and inclusion.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Social Sciences, or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant certification in Diversity and Inclusion is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a diversity and inclusion role or related field, with a proven track record of successfully implementing D&I programs.
  • In-depth knowledge of diversity and inclusion theories, practices, and trends.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in data analysis and reporting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a remote work environment.
  • Experience in developing and delivering training programs and workshops on D&I topics.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.

Work Environment:

This is a remote position, allowing you to work from anywhere. The role requires flexibility in working hours to accommodate different time zones and collaboration with global teams. Regular virtual meetings and occasional travel may be required for workshops, training sessions, or stakeholder engagements.
