Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Educational Technology Manager to join our dynamic team. This remote position is ideal for an individual who is passionate about integrating technology into educational settings to enhance learning experiences and outcomes. The Educational Technology Manager will be responsible for overseeing the implementation, management, and evaluation of educational technology initiatives. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong technical skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with educators and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Planning and Implementation:
    • Develop and implement a comprehensive technology strategy to support educational objectives and enhance teaching and learning experiences.
    • Conduct needs assessments and stay abreast of emerging trends and technologies to ensure the integration of relevant tools and resources.
    • Collaborate with educational leaders and stakeholders to align technology initiatives with institutional goals and curriculum standards.
  2. Technology Integration and Support:
    • Oversee the deployment and maintenance of educational technology tools, including learning management systems (LMS), interactive platforms, and digital resources.
    • Provide technical support and training to educators and staff on the effective use of technology in the classroom.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to educational technology and ensure minimal disruption to learning activities.
  3. Professional Development and Training:
    • Design and deliver professional development programs and workshops to enhance educators’ proficiency with educational technology.
    • Develop user guides, tutorials, and other resources to support the effective use of technology by educators and students.
    • Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement by staying updated on best practices and innovations in educational technology.
  4. Project Management:
    • Lead and manage technology projects from conception through implementation, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget.
    • Coordinate with vendors and external partners to evaluate, purchase, and integrate new technology solutions.
    • Monitor and report on project progress, identifying and addressing any issues or risks that may arise.
  5. Data Analysis and Evaluation:
    • Collect and analyze data to assess the effectiveness and impact of educational technology initiatives.
    • Prepare and present reports on technology usage, performance metrics, and outcomes to stakeholders.
    • Use data-driven insights to make informed decisions and recommendations for future technology investments and improvements.
  6. Compliance and Security:
    • Ensure that educational technology practices comply with institutional policies, data protection regulations, and industry standards.
    • Implement security measures to protect sensitive information and maintain the integrity of technology systems.
  7. Collaboration and Communication:
    • Foster strong relationships with educators, administrators, students, and other stakeholders to support the successful integration and use of technology.
    • Communicate effectively through written and verbal channels to provide updates, share information, and address concerns related to educational technology.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Educational Technology, Information Technology, Education, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in educational technology management, including experience with LMS, digital learning tools, and instructional technology.
  • Strong technical skills and a solid understanding of educational technology trends and best practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects, provide technical support, and deliver effective training programs.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote work environment.
  • Knowledge of data protection and security practices related to educational technology.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with specific educational technology platforms and tools relevant to the institution’s needs.
  • Familiarity with accessibility standards and inclusive technology practices.
  • Previous experience in a leadership role or managing a team of technology professionals.

Working Conditions:
