Position Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced HR Specialist to join our team in a remote capacity. This role is pivotal in supporting and enhancing our human resources functions, ensuring a positive and efficient work environment for all employees. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of HR policies and procedures, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to resolving employee issues and improving HR processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Recruitment and Onboarding:
    • Manage end-to-end recruitment processes, including job postings, candidate screening, interviewing, and selection.
    • Develop and implement effective onboarding programs to ensure new hires are well-integrated into the company.
    • Collaborate with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and develop job descriptions.
  2. Employee Relations:
    • Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns, providing guidance and support on HR policies and procedures.
    • Address and resolve employee issues, conflicts, and grievances in a timely and professional manner.
    • Foster a positive work environment and support employee engagement initiatives.
  3. Performance Management:
    • Assist in the development and implementation of performance management systems, including performance reviews and feedback mechanisms.
    • Provide coaching and support to managers on performance-related matters, including performance improvement plans and disciplinary actions.
  4. Compliance and Policy Administration:
    • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations.
    • Review and update HR policies and procedures to maintain alignment with legal requirements and best practices.
    • Conduct regular audits of HR practices and records to ensure adherence to company policies and legal standards.
  5. Training and Development:
    • Identify training needs and coordinate training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
    • Support career development initiatives and succession planning efforts.
  6. Compensation and Benefits:
    • Assist in the administration of compensation and benefits programs, including salary reviews and benefits enrollment.
    • Analyze compensation data and provide recommendations for salary adjustments and benefit improvements.
  7. HR Data Management:
    • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records in HRIS (Human Resource Information System).
    • Prepare and analyze HR reports and metrics to support data-driven decision-making.
    • Ensure data integrity and confidentiality in all HR-related systems and processes.
  8. Employee Health and Safety:
    • Promote and support employee health and safety programs and initiatives.
    • Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations and standards.
  9. HR Projects and Initiatives:
    • Participate in or lead various HR projects and initiatives to improve HR processes and employee experience.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement HR-related changes and improvements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Professional HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in HR roles with a focus on employee relations, recruitment, and performance management.
  • Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Proven problem-solving skills and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a remote work environment.
