Position Overview
As an Instructional Designer, you will be pivotal in creating engaging, effective, and innovative learning experiences that drive individual and organizational growth. Key Responsibilities
- Curriculum Design and Development:
- Design, develop, and implement high-quality instructional materials and learning solutions tailored to diverse audiences.
- Instructional design models such as ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) create structured and practical learning experiences.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to gather content and ensure that instructional materials are accurate, relevant, and up-to-date.
- E-Learning Development:
- Authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, or similar platforms can be used to develop e-learning modules, interactive simulations, and multimedia content.
- Ensure that all e-learning materials are engaging, accessible, and meet the needs of various learning styles.
- Test and evaluate e-learning materials to ensure functionality and effectiveness.
- Learning Assessment:
- Create and implement assessments and evaluations to measure learning outcomes and the effectiveness of instructional materials.
- Analyze assessment data to identify areas for improvement and make data-driven recommendations for enhancing learning experiences.
- Project Management:
- Manage multiple instructional design projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project requirements and quality standards.
- Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and documentation to track progress and communicate with stakeholders.
- Collaboration and Consultation:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including educators, trainers, and other instructional designers, to ensure alignment of learning objectives and instructional strategies.
- Provide guidance and support to stakeholders regarding instructional design best practices and learning technology integration.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and instructional design and e-learning development best practices.
- Apply new knowledge and skills to enhance the design and delivery of instructional materials.
- Compliance and Standards:
- Ensure all instructional materials comply with relevant educational standards, regulations, and accessibility requirements.
- Develop and maintain documentation that supports compliance and quality assurance processes.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelorโs degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Adult Education, or a related field. A Masterโs degree is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in instructional design, with a proven track record of developing effective learning solutions. Experience with remote or virtual learning environments is highly desirable.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with e-learning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate), Learning Management Systems (LMS), and multimedia development tools. Familiarity with HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript is a plus.
- Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate and improve instructional materials. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote team environment.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications in instructional design or e-learning development (e.g., Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP)) are a plus.
