Learning Platform Manager

Position Overview:
We seek a dedicated and experienced Learning Platform Manager to join our dynamic team. As the Learning Platform Manager, you will be pivotal in developing, implementing, and managing our learning management system (LMS) and other digital learning tools. Your focus will be on ensuring that our learning platforms are optimized to meet the needs of our learners, deliver high-quality educational content, and support organizational growth and development. This remote position offers flexibility and the opportunity to work from anywhere.
Key Responsibilities:
- Platform Management:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the learning management system, ensuring smooth functionality and user experience.
- Manage system configurations, updates, and integrations with other tools and platforms.
- Monitor platform performance, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate with technical support for resolution.
- Content Management:
- Collaborate with instructional designers and content creators to upload, organize, and maintain educational content within the LMS.
- Ensure that content is accurately categorized, tagged, and accessible to learners.
- Implement processes for content review, updates, and version control.
- User Support and Training:
- Support and guidance to users, including learners, instructors, and administrators, to enhance their experience with the learning platform.
- Develop and deliver training materials and sessions to onboard new users and promote effective use of the platform.
- Address and resolve user inquiries, issues, and feedback promptly.
- Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Generate and analyze reports on platform usage, learner progress, and training effectiveness.
- Utilize data insights to identify trends, assess performance, and make data-driven improvement recommendations.
- Prepare and present regular reports on platform metrics and key performance indicators to stakeholders.
- Strategic Planning and Implementation:
- Develop and execute strategies for enhancing the learning platform, including new feature implementation and system upgrades.
- Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to ensure the platform remains current and effective.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align platform capabilities with organizational learning and development goals.
- Compliance and Security:
- Ensure the learning platform complies with relevant regulations, standards, and organizational policies.
- Implement and monitor security measures to protect user data and maintain platform integrity.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure compliance and address any potential vulnerabilities.
- Vendor Management:
- Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers related to the learning platform.
- Evaluate and select third-party tools or services that enhance platform functionality or user experience.
- Negotiate contracts, manage service agreements, and oversee vendor performance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Instructional Design, Information Technology, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience managing learning platforms or similar systems, with a strong understanding of LMS functionalities and best practices.
- Proficiency in learning management systems (e.g., Blackboard, Moodle, Canvas) and other e-learning tools.
- Experience with data analysis, reporting, and using data to drive decision-making.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Proven problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to addressing challenges.
- Knowledge of compliance regulations and data security practices related to digital learning environments.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience integrating learning platforms with other organizational systems (e.g., HRIS, CRM).
- Familiarity with instructional design principles and educational technology trends.
- Certification in project management or a related field (e.g., PMP, Scrum Master).
Work Environment:
This is a fully remote position to work from your preferred location. You will collaborate with a global team and be expected to maintain regular communication and alignment with team members and stakeholders.
