📋 Key Responsibilities of an Online Adolescent Therapist
🧠 Core Clinical Responsibilities
As a licensed Online Adolescent Therapist, your primary focus will be delivering compassionate, tailored care to adolescents between 12 and 19. You’ll:
- 🌿 Provide weekly or bi-weekly virtual therapy sessions using evidence-based practices
- 🧑💻 Use secure, HIPAA-compliant platforms to facilitate sessions and manage documentation
- 📊 Develop personalized treatment plans and adjust them based on client progress
- 🗣️ Conduct clinical assessments and communicate findings with clients and caregivers
- 🤝 Collaborate with school counselors, healthcare professionals, and family members
- 🔍 Stay up-to-date with emerging practices and research in adolescent mental health
- 🧘 Teach coping skills, emotion regulation, and stress management techniques

🧾 Qualifications and Core Competencies
🎓 Required Credentials and Licensure
- 🎓 Active license in good standing (LCSW, LMFT, LPC, or equivalent)
- 🌍 Multi-state licensure is a strong advantage
- 🧾 Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field
🤝 Preferred Experience and Skills
- ⏳ Minimum 2 years of experience providing therapy to adolescents
- 💻 Proficient in using telehealth technology and digital communication tools
- 💞 Demonstrated cultural awareness and a strong ethical framework
- 🧠 Experience with trauma-informed therapy, CBT, DBT, or similar modalities
- 🎯 Ability to maintain professional boundaries while being deeply empathetic
