Job Description:

We seek a highly skilled Online Instructional Designer to join our dynamic team. In this remote position, you will be pivotal in creating engaging and effective online learning experiences. Your expertise in instructional design and eLearning methodologies will be crucial in shaping our learners' educational journeys.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Curriculum Development:
   • Design, develop, and implement online courses and training programs that meet the diverse needs of our learners.
   • Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to create relevant course content that is engaging and aligned with learning objectives.
2. Instructional Design:
   • Utilize instructional design models (such as ADDIE, SAM, or Agile) to structure and organize course materials effectively.
   • Incorporate various multimedia elements, including videos, graphics, and interactive components, to enhance learning experiences.
3. Assessment and Evaluation:
   • Develop assessment strategies to measure learner understanding and success, including quizzes, assignments, and practical projects.
   • Analyze feedback and data to improve course content and instructional methods continuously.
4. Technology Integration:
   • Leverage learning management systems (LMS) and other educational technologies to deliver content and track learner progress.
   • Stay current with emerging technologies and trends in online education to enhance course design and delivery.
5. Collaboration and Communication:
   • Work closely with faculty, administrators, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment with educational goals and standards.
   • Provide training and support to instructors on best practices for online teaching and learning.
6. Project Management:
   • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring that deadlines and quality standards are met.
   • Document design processes and maintain comprehensive records of course development.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, Educational Technology, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in instructional design or eLearning development.
• Proficiency in instructional design software (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, Camtasia) and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
• Strong understanding of adult learning principles and best practices in online education.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team in a remote environment.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with gamification and interactive learning strategies.
• Familiarity with accessibility standards and best practices (e.g., WCAG).
• Knowledge of graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus.
