Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Online Learning Consultant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing online learning solutions that enhance educational experiences for a diverse range of learners. You will collaborate with subject matter experts, instructional designers, and stakeholders to create engaging and effective learning materials. As an Online Learning Consultant, you will leverage your expertise in instructional design and e-learning technologies to ensure the delivery of high-quality educational programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Curriculum and Course Design:
    • Develop and implement instructional strategies for online courses that align with educational goals and learner needs.
    • Collaborate with subject matter experts to identify course objectives, content requirements, and instructional methods.
    • Create detailed course outlines, storyboards, and learning materials, ensuring they meet best practices in instructional design.
  2. Content Development:
    • Design and produce multimedia content, including interactive modules, videos, simulations, and assessments, to enhance learner engagement and comprehension.
    • Ensure content is accessible, inclusive, and adheres to relevant accessibility standards and guidelines.
  3. Learning Management Systems (LMS) Management:
    • Configure, maintain and optimize learning management systems to support course delivery and learner interactions.
    • Troubleshoot technical issues and provide support to learners and instructors as needed.
  4. Assessment and Evaluation:
    • Develop and implement assessment tools and strategies to measure learner progress and the effectiveness of instructional materials.
    • Analyze data and feedback to evaluate the impact of online learning programs and make data-driven recommendations for improvements.
  5. Consultation and Collaboration:
    • Partner with educational institutions, corporate clients, and other stakeholders to understand their online learning needs and provide tailored solutions.
    • Offer expert guidance on best practices in online learning, instructional design, and technology integration.
  6. Project Management:
    • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality learning materials and solutions.
    • Coordinate with team members and stakeholders to ensure project milestones and deadlines are met.
  7. Professional Development:
    • Stay current with emerging trends and technologies in online learning and instructional design.
    • Participate in professional development opportunities and contribute to the advancement of the field.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
  • Proven experience in designing and developing online learning solutions and instructional materials.
  • Strong proficiency with learning management systems (LMS) such as Moodle, Blackboard, Canvas, or similar platforms.
  • Experience with multimedia authoring tools and e-learning software, such as Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, or Camtasia.
  • In-depth knowledge of instructional design models, such as ADDIE, SAM, or Bloom’s Taxonomy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly and effectively.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience using data to inform instructional design and decision-making.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience working with diverse learner populations and understanding of accessibility standards.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in instructional design or e-learning (e.g., Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP), Certified Professional in E-Learning (CPEL)).
  • Experience in a specific industry or educational sector relevant to the organization’s focus (e.g., higher education, corporate training).
  • Familiarity with emerging trends in online education, such as gamification, mobile learning, or virtual reality.
