Online Learning Facilitator

Salary: $67,687 per annum

Position Overview:

We seek an experienced and dynamic Online Learning Facilitator to join our team. The ideal candidate will guide and support students through their online learning journey, ensuring a high-quality educational experience. This role requires a blend of instructional expertise, technological proficiency, and excellent communication skills to foster a positive and engaging virtual learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Instructional Design and Delivery:
   • Develop and deliver engaging and interactive online course content that meets curriculum standards and learning objectives.
   • Use multimedia tools and technologies to enhance the learning experience, including video, interactive quizzes, and discussion forums.
   • Update and improve course materials regularly based on feedback, advancements in the subject area, and emerging educational technologies.
2. Student Engagement and Support:
   • Facilitate online discussions, encourage student participation, and maintain an active presence in the virtual classroom.
   • Provide timely feedback on assignments and assessments to guide student progress and improve learning outcomes.
   • Offer academic support, including tutoring and one-on-one consultations, to assist students with their coursework and address any challenges they may face.
3. Course Management:
   • Monitor and manage course progress, ensuring that students are on track to meet deadlines and learning goals.
   • Track and analyze student performance data to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to enhance student success.
   • Address and resolve any technical issues or concerns related to the online learning platform.
4. Collaboration and Professional Development:
   • Work collaboratively with other facilitators, instructional designers, and administrative staff to develop and refine online learning programs.
   • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in online education and emerging trends in educational technology.
   • Contribute to the development of training materials and resources for students and staff.
5. Quality Assurance:
   • Ensure all online courses comply with institutional policies, accreditation standards, and accessibility requirements.
   • Regular reviews and evaluations of course effectiveness should be conducted, and improvements should be recommended based on student feedback and performance metrics.
   • Implement and adhere to best practices in online teaching to provide a high-quality educational experience for all students.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Education, Instructional Design, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in online teaching or instructional facilitation. Experience with online learning platforms and educational technologies is required.
• Skills:
  • Proficient in using online learning management systems (LMS) such as Canvas, Blackboard, or Moodle.
  • Strong understanding of instructional design principles and adult learning theories.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts quickly.
  • Ability to engage and motivate students in a virtual learning environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
