Job Summary:

We seek a highly skilled and motivated Online LMS Configuration Specialist to join our dynamic team. This remote position requires a strong technical background in Learning Management Systems (LMS) and a keen eye for detail. The ideal candidate will be responsible for configuring, maintaining, and optimizing our online LMS to enhance users' learning experience and ensure seamless integration with various educational tools and platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

1. LMS Configuration and Setup:
   • Configure and maintain the LMS environment to meet organizational needs and user requirements.
   • Implement and customize LMS features, settings, and modules to align with instructional goals and administrative policies.
   • Conduct initial system setup, including user role assignments, permissions, and course structures.
2. System Integration:
   • Collaborate with IT and other departments to integrate the LMS with other software systems and third-party applications.
   • Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues to ensure smooth data flow and system compatibility.
   • Manage API integrations and data synchronization between the LMS and other platforms.
3. Course Management:
   • Assist in developing and configuring online courses, including setting up content, assessments, and interactive elements.
   • Ensure courses are correctly organized, and learning materials are uploaded and accessible to users.
   • Monitor course activity and provide technical support to instructors and learners.
4. User Support and Training:
   • Provide technical support and guidance to LMS users, including instructors, students, and administrators.
   • Develop and deliver training materials and sessions to help users navigate and utilize the LMS effectively.
   • Address and resolve user issues, including troubleshooting problems and providing timely solutions.
5. System Maintenance and Optimization:
   • Regularly update and maintain the LMS software to remain current and secure.
   • Monitor system performance and perform routine checks to identify and address potential issues.
   • Analyze user feedback and system data to make recommendations for improvements and enhancements.
6. Reporting and Analytics:
   • Generate and analyze reports on system usage, course completion rates, and user engagement.
   • Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis to support decision-making and strategic planning.
   • Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to LMS effectiveness and user satisfaction.
7. Documentation and Compliance:
   • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for LMS configurations, processes, and procedures.
   • Ensure compliance with organizational policies and industry data privacy and security standards.
   • Stay informed about trends and best practices in LMS technology and online education.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Education Technology, a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Proven experience working with LMS platforms (e.g., Moodle, Blackboard, Canvas) and understanding of their configuration and management.
• Strong technical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to LMS functionality and integrations.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to provide clear and compelling support to diverse user groups.
• Experience with data analysis and reporting tools to assess system performance and user engagement.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a remote work environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in LMS administration or related areas.
• Familiarity with e-learning standards and technologies (e.g., SCORM, xAPI).
• Experience with programming languages or scripting for system customization and automation.
