Online Pension Analyst

Position Overview:
We seek a highly skilled and motivated Online Pension Analyst to join our team remotely. This role is crucial for managing and analyzing pension plans to ensure compliance, accuracy, and optimal performance. Key Responsibilities:
- Pension Plan Analysis:
- Evaluate and interpret pension plan documents, including benefit calculations, eligibility requirements, and funding policies.
- Conduct regular reviews and audits of pension plans to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
- Analyze plan performance metrics and prepare detailed reports for internal stakeholders.
- Data Management:
- Manage and maintain pension plan data, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of information.
- Utilize specialized software and tools to input, track, and analyze pension data.
- Identify and rectify discrepancies or issues in pension data.
- Compliance and Reporting:
- Ensure compliance with federal and state pension regulations and standards, including ERISA (Employee Retirement Income Security Act) and IRS (Internal Revenue Service) requirements.
- Prepare and submit required reports and documentation to regulatory agencies and internal departments.
- Stay updated on changes in pension regulations and industry best practices to ensure ongoing compliance.
- Customer Service and Support:
- Provide expert guidance and support to employees and plan participants regarding pension benefits, eligibility, and claim processes.
- Address and resolve inquiries and issues related to pension plans promptly and professionally.
- Develop and deliver educational materials and presentations to help employees understand their pension benefits and options.
- Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and recommend solutions to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of pension plan administration.
- Collaborate with other departments to implement new procedures or updates to existing processes.
- Project Management:
- Lead or participate in special projects related to pension plans, such as plan redesigns, system upgrades, or benefit enhancements.
- Coordinate with various teams and stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met within established timelines and budgets.
- Documentation and Record-Keeping:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date pension plan transactions, communications, and decision records.
- Ensure that all documentation complies with legal requirements and organizational standards.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelorโs degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. Professional certification (e.g., Certified Pension Consultant, Certified Employee Benefit Specialist) is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in pension analysis, benefits administration, or a related field. Experience working with pension software and systems is highly desirable.
- Skills:
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Proficiency in pension administration software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly and concisely.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team environment.
