Online Regulatory Compliance Officer (Remote)

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Online Regulatory Compliance Officer to join our team remotely. Key Responsibilities:

1. Regulatory Monitoring and Analysis:
   • Stay abreast of changes in relevant online regulations, including data protection, privacy laws, cybersecurity standards, and industry-specific guidelines.
   • Analyze the impact of new or revised regulations on company operations and recommend necessary adjustments to ensure compliance.
2. Compliance Program Development:
   • Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive compliance policies and procedures tailored to online operations.
   • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate compliance requirements into operational processes, including marketing, product development, and IT.
3. Risk Assessment and Management:
   • Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential compliance vulnerabilities and recommend mitigation strategies.
   • Monitor and review online activities and transactions to detect and address any non-compliance issues.
4. Training and Awareness:
   • Design and deliver training programs to educate employees about compliance requirements and best practices related to online operations.
   • Foster a culture of compliance within the organization by providing ongoing support and guidance to staff.
5. Audit and Reporting:
   • Oversee internal audits to evaluate compliance with established policies and procedures.
   • Prepare detailed reports on compliance status, audit findings, and remediation actions for senior management.
6. Incident Management:
   • Manage and investigate compliance-related incidents and breaches, ensuring timely and accurate resolution.
   • Liaise with external regulatory bodies as necessary to address compliance issues and respond to inquiries.
7. Documentation and Record Keeping:
   • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of compliance activities, policies, and procedures.
   • Ensure all compliance documentation is readily accessible for internal reviews and external audits.
8. Stakeholder Engagement:
   • Work closely with external consultants, legal advisors, and industry groups to stay informed about best practices and regulatory changes.
   • Represent the company in regulatory meetings, conferences, and forums as needed.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP), Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM)) are advantageous.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in regulatory compliance, with a focus on online operations, data privacy, and cybersecurity. Experience working in a remote or virtual environment is preferred.
• Knowledge: Deep understanding of online regulatory requirements, including GDPR, CCPA, and other relevant privacy and security laws. Familiarity with industry-specific regulations is a plus.
• Skills:

Compensation:
