About the Role:
We seek a highly skilled and creative Online Training Designer to join our team. As an Online Training Designer, you will collaborate with subject matter experts to develop comprehensive e-learning solutions that meet educational objectives and drive impactful results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Instructional Design:
- Develop and design online training modules, courses, and learning materials aligned with organizational goals and learner needs.
- Utilize instructional design methodologies and adult learning principles to create engaging and compelling learning experiences.
- Create detailed storyboards, prototypes, and scripts that outline content, activities, and assessments.
- Content Development:
- Research and analyze subject matter to ensure content accuracy and relevance.
- Work with subject matter experts to extract and organize information into transparent, concise, and compelling training materials.
- Develop multimedia content, including interactive simulations, video scripts, and graphics, to enhance the learning experience.
- Technology Integration:
- Leverage various authoring tools and Learning Management Systems (LMS) to design and deliver online training solutions.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and trends in e-learning and online training to incorporate new tools and techniques.
- Ensure training modules are compatible with multiple devices and platforms, including desktop and mobile.
- Quality Assurance:
- Conduct thorough testing of online training modules to identify and resolve any technical or content-related issues.
- Gather and analyze feedback from learners and stakeholders to continuously improve training materials and delivery methods.
- Implement best practices for accessibility and inclusivity to ensure that training materials are accessible to all learners.
- Project Management:
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining high-quality standards.
- Develop and maintain project plans, including timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including graphic designers, multimedia specialists, and IT professionals, to ensure successful project execution.
- Evaluation and Reporting:
- Design and implement assessment tools to measure the effectiveness of training programs and learner outcomes.
- Analyze evaluation data and learner feedback to make data-driven decisions for program improvements.
- Prepare and present reports on training effectiveness, learner engagement, and program performance to stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, e-Learning, or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CPLP, ATD) is a plus.
- Experience: A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in instructional design and online training development is required. Proven experience with authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, or similar is also required.
- Skills:
- Strong understanding of instructional design models, such as ADDIE or SAM.
- Proficiency in using Learning Management Systems (LMS) and e-learning authoring tools.
- Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills with an eye for detail.
- Ability to translate complex concepts into clear and engaging learning materials.
- Familiarity with multimedia production, including video and graphic design, is desirable.
