Job Summary
We seek a highly motivated and experienced Online Training Program Manager to oversee online learning initiatives' development, delivery, and continuous improvement. This role requires someone passionate about e-learning, has a strong understanding of instructional design, and can lead a team to create impactful training programs. You will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing engaging online training programs for our diverse audience of learners, ensuring that all offerings meet high standards of quality and effectiveness.
The Online Training Program Manager will collaborate with subject matter experts, instructional designers, and technology teams to deliver comprehensive online training programs. This is a fully remote position, allowing you to work from anywhere while making a significant impact on learners around the world. Key Responsibilities
1. Program Development and Management
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of online training programs that align with organizational goals.
- Conduct needs assessments to identify gaps in current training programs and opportunities for new content.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to gather content, ensuring the information is up-to-date, relevant, and aligned with best practices.
- Oversee the creation and curation of digital learning assets, including video content, interactive modules, and assessments.
- Manage the integration of multimedia elements and technology to enhance the learner experience.
- Continuously evaluate program effectiveness, making adjustments based on feedback, learning analytics, and industry trends.
2. Team Leadership and Collaboration
- Lead and mentor a team of instructional designers, e-learning developers, and content creators.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, marketing, and HR, to ensure seamless delivery and promotion of training programs.
- Foster an environment of collaboration and open communication to ensure all team members are aligned with the programโs objectives and timelines.
- Set clear performance expectations for the team and conduct regular check-ins to monitor progress and provide support where needed.
3. Instructional Design and Content Development
- Apply best practices in instructional design and adult learning theories to develop engaging and compelling learning experiences.
- Create structured, goal-oriented learning paths and ensure all content is learner-centered and performance-based.
- Oversee the development of assessments, quizzes, and other evaluation tools to measure learning outcomes.
- Ensure content is accessible to all learners, adhering to Universal Design for Learning (UDL) principles and applicable accessibility regulations.
- Stay current on instructional design trends and emerging technologies, incorporating new techniques into program development as appropriate.
4. Project Management
- Manage all phases of the training program lifecycle, from concept development to execution and evaluation.
- Create detailed project plans, set milestones, and track the progress of each training initiative.
- Ensure all programs are delivered on time and within scope and budget.
- Troubleshoot issues that arise during the development and delivery of training programs, working with stakeholders to resolve them promptly.
- Regularly report program status to senior leadership, including learner engagement and satisfaction metrics.
5. Technology and Tools Management
- Oversee using learning management systems (LMS) and other online platforms to deliver training content.
- Ensure that the LMS is configured to support the specific needs of each program, including course registration, tracking, and reporting.
- Work with the IT team to troubleshoot technical issues and optimize platform performance.
- Research and recommend new tools and technologies to enhance the online learning experience.
- Ensure all digital content is mobile-friendly and compatible with various devices and operating systems.
Qualifications and Skills
Required
- Bachelorโs degree in education, instructional design, e-learning, or a related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience managing online training programs or e-learning initiatives.
- Proven track record of leading the development of online courses and managing the entire lifecycle of training programs.
- Strong understanding of instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE, SAM) and adult learning principles.
- Experience working with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and other educational technologies.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to assess learning needs and measure program success using data and feedback.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage remote teams effectively.
Preferred
- Masterโs degree in education, instructional design, or a related field.
- Experience with authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, or similar.
- Familiarity with e-learning standards such as SCORM, AICC, or xAPI.
- Knowledge of accessibility standards for online learning (e.g., WCAG 2.0).
Working Conditions
