Remote Application Support Engineer
Description
Remote Application Support Engineer
Empower Innovation Through Digital Support
Step into a role where your knack for problem-solving meets creative tech solutions. We’re looking for a Remote Application Support Engineer who excels in fast-paced settings and takes pride in helping systems and people perform at their best. This isn't just about fixing issues—it's about being part of a forward-thinking digital team shaping seamless user experiences for a global audience.
A Company Built on Innovation
Driven by a mission to transform the digital workspace, our company champions agility, inclusivity, and forward momentum. We've grown from a lean tech initiative into a diverse ecosystem of creators, coders, and customer-centric visionaries. From the beginning, we've believed in software that doesn’t just work, but works wonders for the people using it. You’ll join a remote-first team where culture is just as distributed as our infrastructure and as connected.
Role Overview
What Makes This Role Stand Out
As an Application Support Engineer, you’re not just resolving tickets—you’re resolving mysteries. Whether diving deep into log files, collaborating with developers to decode bugs, or empowering users through technical insights, your day is never dull. And all from the comfort of your home office (or hammock, we don’t judge).
Key Responsibilities
- Respond swiftly and intelligently to support incidents involving enterprise applications.
- Investigate issues using monitoring dashboards, application logs, error traces, and service requests.
- Interface with QA, DevOps, and software engineers to pinpoint problems and expedite fixes.
- Maintain detailed knowledge of application configurations, integrations, and dependencies.
- Proactively detect potential issues and suggest system optimizations.
- Create and maintain clear technical documentation and internal knowledge bases.
- Serve as a friendly, reliable contact for end-users and internal stakeholders alike.
Tools and Technology
The Tools You'll Wield
You'll wield an array of technologies and platforms that make up our modern stack, including:
- Application monitoring tools (e.g., New Relic, Datadog, Splunk)
- Cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- CI/CD platforms and deployment orchestration systems
- Logging utilities (e.g., ELK Stack, Fluentd)
- Issue tracking and support tools like JIRA, Zendesk, and Confluence
- Script automation tools (Bash, Python, PowerShell)
Work Environment
Flexibility Meets Focus
Our work environment is built around remote collaboration, asynchronous communication, and an unapologetic love for flexibility. Whether you're a night owl or early riser, we honor the flow that makes you most productive. Virtual town halls, Slack brainstorming, and spontaneous meme-sharing are part of our daily rhythm. You'll never be micromanaged, but you will always be supported.
Required Qualifications
Qualities We’re Looking For
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in application support, system administration, or a similar technical role
- Deep understanding of SaaS environments, cloud infrastructure, and incident management
- Analytical mindset with a talent for interpreting complex issues and translating them into layman’s terms
- Solid scripting skills for automation or data extraction (bonus points for Python or Bash)
- Excellent communication skills and a calm demeanor under pressure
- An eagerness to learn, teach, and make things better, every single day
Growth and Development
Your Growth, Our Priority
We’re obsessed with professional development. From access to industry-leading courses to mentorship and career mapping, your growth path is yours to define. This role offers a gateway to DevOps, infrastructure engineering, and beyond. If you love learning, this is your playground.

Why You’ll Love Working With Us
- Annual salary of $82,930, paid monthly
- 100% remote, forever
- Internet stipend and home office setup support
- Generous PTO, wellness days, and a company-wide winter break
- Monthly knowledge sharing sessions and guest tech speakers

Impact and Success
How This Role Moves the Needle
This position is critical to our mission of creating fluid, frustration-free user journeys. Restoring a crucial function or preempting a system hiccup directly contributes to user satisfaction and business continuity. You're not just keeping the ship afloat but steering it away from the icebergs.
What Success Looks Like
You’re the go-to person for escalating app issues. Developers trust your insights. Users praise your responsiveness. Processes improve because of your suggestions. Success in this role means fewer tickets, more intelligent systems, and happier users.
Culture and Inclusion
Diversity Isn’t Just a Buzzword Here
We thrive on different backgrounds, perspectives, and working styles. Neurodivergent? Parent of three? Former artist turned techie? You’re not just welcome here—you’re celebrated.
