Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Benefits Administrator to join our team remotely. As a Remote Benefits Administrator, you will be responsible for the administration of employee benefit plans, including health, dental, vision, retirement, and other related benefits. Key Responsibilities:
- Benefits Administration:
- Administer and manage employee benefit programs, including health, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, and retirement plans.
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of employee enrollments, changes, and terminations related to benefits.
- Maintain benefit records, manage enrollments, and provide support to employees regarding benefits-related inquiries.
- Compliance and Reporting:
- Stay up-to-date with federal and state regulations related to employee benefits, including ERISA, ACA, FMLA, and other applicable laws.
- Prepare and submit compliance reports as required by regulatory agencies.
- Conduct regular audits of benefit programs to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations.
- Employee Support:
- Serve as a primary point of contact for employees regarding benefits-related questions and issues.
- Provide clear and comprehensive information to employees about benefit options, coverage, and enrollment procedures.
- Assist employees with benefits claims and resolve issues as they arise.
- Vendor Management:
- Liaise with benefits vendors and providers to manage and resolve any issues related to benefits administration.
- Coordinate with vendors for the implementation of new benefit programs and changes to existing programs.
- Evaluate and recommend changes to benefit providers to improve the overall employee experience.
- Benefits Communication:
- Develop and deliver communications regarding benefits programs, changes, and updates to employees.
- Prepare educational materials and conduct presentations to ensure employees understand their benefits options.
- Update and maintain benefits-related documentation, including employee handbooks and benefits guides.
- Data Management and Analysis:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date benefits data in the HRIS (Human Resources Information System).
- Analyze benefits data and trends to identify opportunities for cost savings and program improvements.
- Prepare and present reports on benefits usage, costs, and employee satisfaction.
- Process Improvement:
- Identify and implement process improvements to streamline benefits administration and enhance the employee experience.
- Collaborate with other HR team members to integrate benefits administration with broader HR initiatives and strategies.
- Stay informed about industry best practices and trends to recommend improvements to benefit programs.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in benefits administration or a similar role.
- Certifications: Certification as a Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS) or similar credentials is preferred.
- Skills:
- Strong knowledge of benefits programs, regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and handle complex issues with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in HRIS and benefits administration software.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
