Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Remote Benefits Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and analyzing employee benefits programs, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations, and providing support to employees regarding their benefits options. As a Remote Benefits Analyst, you will leverage your expertise to help shape and maintain competitive benefits offerings while delivering exceptional service to our employees.
Key Responsibilities:
- Benefits Administration:
- Oversee the administration of employee benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, retirement plans, and other supplementary benefits.
- Ensure the accuracy of benefits data by performing regular audits and addressing discrepancies.
- Coordinate with benefits providers and vendors to manage enrollment, changes, and terminations.
- Compliance and Regulation:
- Stay informed about federal, state, and local regulations affecting employee benefits, such as the Affordable Care Act (ACA), Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), and Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA).
- Ensure that all benefits programs comply with applicable laws and regulations, and update policies and procedures as needed.
- Prepare and submit required compliance reports and documentation.
- Employee Support and Communication:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries related to benefits programs.
- Provide clear and accurate information to employees regarding their benefits options, eligibility, and enrollment procedures.
- Conduct benefits orientations and informational sessions for new hires and current employees.
- Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Analyze benefits data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
- Prepare and present reports on benefits utilization, cost analysis, and program effectiveness to management.
- Utilize data insights to recommend enhancements to benefits programs and optimize costs.
- Benefits Program Management:
- Assist in the design and implementation of new benefits programs and initiatives.
- Evaluate and recommend changes to existing benefits offerings based on employee feedback, market trends, and organizational needs.
- Manage relationships with benefits vendors and service providers to ensure high-quality service delivery.
- Project Management:
- Lead and participate in benefits-related projects, including system upgrades, open enrollment, and benefits plan redesigns.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution and alignment with organizational goals.
- Record Keeping and Documentation:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of employee benefits enrollments, changes, and terminations.
- Ensure proper documentation of benefits transactions and communications for auditing and compliance purposes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in benefits administration or a related HR role.
- Strong knowledge of employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other employee perks.
- Familiarity with federal and state benefits regulations and compliance requirements.
- Proficient in using HRIS systems, benefits administration software, and data analysis tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively address employee inquiries and concerns.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a remote work environment.
