Job Summary: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Remote Benefits Coordinator to join our team. This role is crucial in managing and overseeing our employee benefits programs. As a Remote Benefits Coordinator, you will work remotely, providing support and guidance to employees regarding their benefits, ensuring compliance with regulations, and assisting in the administration of benefit plans.
Key Responsibilities:
- Benefits Administration:
- Oversee the day-to-day administration of employee benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, life insurance, and retirement plans.
- Ensure accurate and timely enrollment of employees in benefits programs.
- Process benefits changes, including new enrollments, terminations, and life event changes.
- Administer benefits-related documentation and record-keeping, ensuring all data is up-to-date and compliant with company policies.
- Employee Support:
- Act as the primary point of contact for employee benefits inquiries, providing clear and accurate information about benefit options, coverage, and eligibility.
- Resolve employee issues and concerns related to benefits in a timely and effective manner.
- Educate employees on benefits programs, including conducting webinars, virtual meetings, and one-on-one consultations.
- Compliance and Reporting:
- Ensure benefits programs comply with federal, state, and local regulations, including ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, and ACA.
- Prepare and submit required benefits reports and documentation to regulatory agencies.
- Monitor and update benefits policies and procedures to reflect changes in legislation and best practices.
- Vendor Management:
- Liaise with benefits vendors and service providers to manage contracts, resolve issues, and ensure the delivery of high-quality services.
- Conduct regular reviews of vendor performance and benefits program effectiveness.
- Plan Design and Implementation:
- Assist in the design, implementation, and evaluation of new benefits programs and enhancements to existing programs.
- Conduct market research to benchmark benefits offerings against industry standards and recommend adjustments as needed.
- Data Management:
- Maintain and update benefits information in the HRIS (Human Resources Information System) and other relevant databases.
- Analyze benefits data to identify trends, usage patterns, and areas for improvement.
- Communication and Documentation:
- Develop and distribute benefits-related communication materials, including newsletters, plan summaries, and open enrollment guides.
- Ensure all benefits documentation is clear, accurate, and compliant with legal requirements.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in benefits administration or a related HR role, with a strong understanding of benefits programs and regulations.
- Skills:
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to provide clear guidance and support to employees.
- Proficient in using HRIS systems and benefits management software.
- Ability to analyze data, prepare reports, and make informed recommendations.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.

- This remote position allows you to work from home or any location with a reliable internet connection.
