Position Overview:

We seek a detail-oriented and analytical Remote Compensation Analyst to join our dynamic team. As a Compensation Analyst, you will evaluate and develop compensation structures, ensuring they are competitive, equitable, and aligned with our organization's goals and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Compensation Analysis:
    • Conduct comprehensive market research to benchmark compensation packages against industry standards and competitors.
    • Analyze internal compensation structures and practices to ensure alignment with organizational objectives and equitable pay practices.
    • Develop and maintain salary ranges and structures, including job evaluations, surveys, and compensation planning tools.
  2. Data Management:
    • Manage and analyze compensation data from various sources, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
    • Utilize advanced Excel functions and compensation software to create and maintain reports, dashboards, and compensation models.
    • Prepare detailed reports and presentations for senior management, summarizing findings and making recommendations.
  3. Policy Development:
    • Develop and update compensation policies and procedures to reflect current trends, legal requirements, and organizational needs.
    • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations regarding compensation and benefits.
    • Provide guidance and support to HR teams and management on compensation-related issues and best practices.
  4. Compensation Planning and Budgeting:
    • Assist in developing annual compensation budgets, including salary increases, bonuses, and incentive plans.
    • Analyze and forecast compensation costs and trends to support budgeting and financial planning.
    • Collaborate with HR and finance teams to ensure alignment of compensation strategies with organizational goals and financial constraints.
  5. Employee Communication:
    • Address employee inquiries related to compensation, ensuring clear and accurate communication of compensation policies and practices.
    • Develop and deliver training materials and sessions on compensation topics to HR staff and management.
  6. Project Management:
    • Lead or participate in special compensation-related projects, such as compensation audits, job evaluations, and compensation system implementations.
    • Manage project timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder communications to ensure successful outcomes.
  7. Continuous Improvement:
    • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging compensation practices, and regulatory changes to ensure that compensation strategies remain competitive and compliant.
    • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in compensation administration.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field. A Master’s degree or certification in compensation (e.g., Certified Compensation Professional) is a plus.
  • Proven experience (3+ years) in compensation analysis, compensation planning, or a related role.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in data analysis, statistical modeling, and financial forecasting.
  • Proficiency in Excel and compensation management software (e.g., SAP, Workday, or similar).
  • Knowledge of compensation laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex data and concepts clearly and effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data handling and reporting.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a remote environment.
