Job Summary:
As a Remote Compliance Risk Analyst, you will ensure that the organization's operations and activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies. You will identify, assess, and mitigate compliance risks across various business units. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with strong analytical skills, the ability to work independently, and a solid understanding of compliance and risk management practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Risk Assessment and Analysis:
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments to identify potential compliance issues and vulnerabilities.
- Analyze business processes and practices to evaluate risk exposure and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies and action plans.
- Compliance Monitoring and Reporting:
- Monitor regulatory changes and updates to ensure the organization complies with applicable laws and regulations.
- Prepare and deliver regular compliance reports to senior management, highlighting key findings, risk areas, and recommendations.
- Track and report on compliance-related metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Policy and Procedure Development:
- Develop and update compliance policies and procedures to align with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure policies are effectively communicated to relevant stakeholders and provide training as needed.
- Collaborate with various departments to integrate compliance considerations into business processes and operations.
- Internal Audits and Investigations:
- Planned and conducted internal audits to assess compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Investigate compliance issues and incidents, including conducting interviews, gathering evidence, and analyzing data.
- Prepare detailed audit reports and recommendations for corrective actions.
- Regulatory Liaison:
- Act as a liaison between the organization and regulatory bodies, ensuring timely and accurate communication.
- Assist in preparing for regulatory inspections and audits, including gathering documentation and responding to inquiries.
- Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and emerging compliance issues.
- Training and Awareness:
- Develop and deliver compliance training programs for employees at all levels of the organization.
- Promote a culture of compliance by raising awareness and educating staff about regulatory requirements and best practices.
- Provide guidance and support to employees on compliance-related matters.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Law, or a related field. A relevant professional certification (e.g., Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional (CCEP), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA)) is a plus.
- Experience:
- At least 3-5 years of experience in compliance, risk management, or a related field.
- Proven experience conducting risk assessments, internal audits, and compliance investigations.
- Familiarity with relevant regulations and industry standards (e.g., GDPR, SOX, HIPAA) is essential.
- Skills and Competencies:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex regulations and data.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey compliance concepts to non-experts.
- Proficiency in using compliance management software and tools.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and organization.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a remote work environment.
- Technical Proficiency:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and other relevant software applications.
- Experience with compliance management systems and data analysis tools is advantageous.
