Position Overview:
We seek an experienced and detail-oriented Consumer Insights Analyst to join our clients' remote team. The ideal candidate will research and analyze data and provide valuable insights into consumer behavior, preferences, and trends. You will use quantitative and qualitative methods to gather information and translate findings into actionable recommendations that drive business decisions. The ideal candidate will have a passion for understanding consumers, a strong analytical mindset, and the ability to communicate complex insights effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Consumer Research & Analysis: Conduct comprehensive consumer research to understand customer behavior, attitudes, and preferences. Use a mix of primary and secondary research methodologies to gather data and derive meaningful insights.
- Data Collection & Survey Design: Design, execute, and analyze surveys to gather insights on customer satisfaction, brand perception, product usage, and buying behavior. Ensure data accuracy by applying best practices in survey design and administration.
- Data Analysis & Interpretation: Analyze large datasets using qualitative and quantitative methods to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities. Use statistical analysis to uncover consumer insights that support business strategy.
- Customer Segmentation: Develop detailed customer segmentation models to identify key customer groups and understand their unique needs. Provide insights that support targeted marketing, product development, and customer experience initiatives.
- Trend Identification & Monitoring: Stay informed about industry trends, market dynamics, and consumer behaviors that impact the business. Provide insights and recommendations to help the organization adapt to or capitalize on emerging trends.
- Reporting & Presentation: Prepare detailed reports summarizing key research findings, insights, and actionable recommendationsโpresent research findings to stakeholders in a clear, concise, and compelling manner that supports informed decision-making.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, sales, and finance, to understand their information needs and provide relevant consumer insights. Collaborate to ensure that research aligns with business goals and drives strategic initiatives.
- Data Visualization: To communicate research findings effectively, create visualizations such as charts, graphs, and dashboards. Use visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or similar software to present data in an engaging and easy-to-understand format.
- Competitive Analysis: Conduct competitive analysis to understand consumer perceptions of competitors' products and services. Provide insights that help the organization differentiate itself and capitalize on competitive advantages.
- Support Marketing & Product Strategy: Provide research-driven insights that support marketing campaigns, product development, and customer engagement strategies. Identify opportunities for new products, market expansion, and brand positioning.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Economics, Psychology, or a related field. A Master's degree or additional consumer research or data analysis certifications is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 4-5 years of experience in consumer research, data analysis, or a similar role. Proven experience in managing consumer research projects and delivering actionable insights.
- Research & Analytical Skills: Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and generate meaningful insights. Experience with both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies.
- Technical Proficiency: The candidate must be proficient in data analysis and visualization tools, such as Excel, Tableau, or Power BI. Experience with survey tools like Qualtrics or SurveyMonkey is preferred. Familiarity with statistical software, such as SPSS or R, is a plus.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex research findings clearly and understandably. Ability to present data-driven insights to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail, focusing on accuracy in data collection, analysis, and reporting. Ability to validate data and ensure the reliability of research findings.
- Problem-Solving: A proactive approach to identifying consumer insights, challenges, and opportunities. Ability to develop creative solutions that address business needs and support growth.
- Project Management: Experience managing multiple research projects simultaneously, including setting timelines, tracking progress, and ensuring timely delivery of results. Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
- Remote Work Experience: Experience working remotely or in a distributed team environment is a plus. Comfortable using remote communication and collaboration tools such as Zoom, Slack, or Microsoft Teams.
