Naukri Mitra is seeking an experienced and proactive Remote Cybersecurity Analyst to join our client’s cybersecurity team. Job Summary:

As a Remote Cybersecurity Analyst, you will protect our clients' digital environments by monitoring, detecting, and responding to cyber threats. Your role will involve identifying vulnerabilities, conducting security assessments, and working closely with other IT professionals to maintain and improve the organization's security posture. This position requires an analytical mindset, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to staying ahead of evolving cyber threats.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Threat Monitoring and Detection:
   • Continuously monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems, network logs, and alerts to detect and analyze real-time security incidents.
   • Utilize advanced threat detection tools to identify suspicious activities, anomalies, and indicators of compromise (IOCs).
   • Perform threat-hunting activities to identify potential threats and mitigate risks before they escalate proactively.
2. Incident Response and Investigation:
   • Lead the response to cybersecurity incidents, including containment, eradication, and recovery activities.
   • Conduct root cause analysis of incidents, prepare detailed reports, and recommend corrective actions to prevent future incidents.
   • Collaborate with IT and other teams to implement incident response procedures and communicate findings to relevant stakeholders.
3. Vulnerability Assessment and Management:
   • Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system, application, and network weaknesses.
   • Work closely with system administrators and developers to ensure timely remediation of identified vulnerabilities.
   • Maintain an up-to-date vulnerability management program and assist in implementing security patches and updates.
4. Security Policy Implementation and Compliance:
   • Develop, implement, and enforce security policies, standards, and guidelines to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
   • Ensure compliance with cybersecurity frameworks, including ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR, and other standards.
   • Conduct regular security awareness training to educate employees about cybersecurity best practices and threats.
5. Network Security and System Hardening:
   • Manage firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and other security infrastructure to protect network parameters.
   • Assist in configuring and hardening servers, workstations, and other IT assets to reduce potential attack surfaces.
   • Implement security measures to protect endpoints, including antivirus, detection and response (EDR), and encryption.
6. Security Audit and Risk Assessment:
   • Perform periodic risk assessments and security audits to evaluate the effectiveness of existing security controls.
   • Identify areas of improvement, document findings, and recommend strategies to enhance the overall security posture.
   • Collaborate with third-party auditors and regulators during security audits, ensuring all findings are addressed and remediated.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field. Equivalent experience may be considered.
• Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in cybersecurity, including threat analysis, incident response, and vulnerability management.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity concepts, attack vectors, and best practices for securing IT infrastructure.
• Hands-on experience with security tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, EDR, and vulnerability scanners.
• Familiarity with network protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, and HTTP, and experience in troubleshooting network security issues.
• Experience with security frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, and CIS and compliance requirements like GDPR or HIPAA.
• Security certifications such as CISSP, CEH, CompTIA Security+, GIAC, or equivalent are highly desirable.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively in a remote environment.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with cloud security, including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, and knowledge of securing cloud environments.
• Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automating routine cybersecurity tasks.
• Understanding threat intelligence platforms and how to use threat intelligence to inform security decisions.
• Exposure to Zero Trust architecture and how it can be implemented to enhance organizational security.
• Hands-on experience with endpoint security tools and techniques to secure devices and data.
