About the Role:
Naukri Mitra is seeking an experienced and analytical Cybersecurity Policy Analyst to join our growing team remotely. This role is designed for a cybersecurity professional with a deep understanding of policy development, compliance frameworks, and risk assessment. As a Cybersecurity Policy Analyst, you will play a key role in strengthening organizational security by formulating policies, ensuring regulatory compliance, and guiding best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Policy Development: Create, review, and refine cybersecurity policies to align with industry standards, legal requirements, and organizational goals.
• Compliance Management: Conduct regular audits and update policies to ensure adherence to regulatory frameworks such as GDPR, HIPAA, CCPA, and ISO 27001.
• Risk Assessment: Conduct risk analysis to identify vulnerabilities in the organization’s digital environment and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with IT teams, legal advisors, and management to ensure cybersecurity policies are effectively implemented and understood.
• Threat Analysis: Stay updated on emerging threats and trends in cybersecurity to recommend proactive policy adjustments.
• Training and Awareness: Develop and deliver training sessions and materials to educate employees about cybersecurity policies, risks, and responsibilities.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of policies, risk assessments, and compliance efforts to support audits and organizational reviews.
• Incident Response Planning: Assist in developing and maintaining incident response plans to ensure preparedness for cybersecurity breaches or incidents.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity, information technology, or a related field. A master’s degree is a plus.
• At least 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, with 2+ years specializing in policy analysis or compliance.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory standards and frameworks, including NIST, ISO 27001, GDPR, and SOC 2.
• Proven experience in conducting risk assessments and creating risk mitigation strategies.
• Proficiency in cybersecurity tools, technologies, and best practices.
• Excellent analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and writing skills for creating clear, effective policy documents.
