Key Responsibilities:

• Cyber Threat Intelligence Research: Conduct in-depth research to identify emerging threats, attack vectors, and vulnerabilities. Track and analyze security events, malware campaigns, threat actors, and trends to provide actionable intelligence to internal teams.
• Security Analysis and Reporting: Analyze data from multiple sources, including open source and proprietary threat intelligence feeds, to provide assessments and detailed reporting on current and future cybersecurity threats.
• Vulnerability Research: Investigate newly reported vulnerabilities, exploits, and security weaknesses. Collaborate with internal teams to understand the potential impact of these vulnerabilities on the organization's infrastructure and suggest mitigative measures.
• Threat Detection and Analysis: Assist in designing, developing, and enhancing threat detection techniques. Use advanced tools and methods to evaluate existing security measures, identify weaknesses, and recommend improvements.
• Collaboration with Security Teams: Work closely with incident response, SOC, and red/blue teams to provide intelligence support and facilitate proactive defense strategies. Share insights, threat intelligence, and research findings to assist in developing response and mitigation tactics.
• Technical Research and Documentation: Author white papers, technical research reports, and threat intelligence briefs to document findings. Present research insights and recommendations to stakeholders and other security professionals to raise awareness of emerging cybersecurity risks.
• Tool and Technique Development: Contribute to developing in-house tools, scripts, and automation to improve the efficiency of threat research and detection. Evaluate and recommend security tools to enhance the organization's cybersecurity research capabilities.
• Staying Informed about Cybersecurity Developments: Stay current on cybersecurity trends, tools, technologies, and threat actor tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs). Attend relevant webinars, conferences, and courses to enhance your skills and knowledge.

Key Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field. Equivalent work experience will also be considered.
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity research, threat intelligence, vulnerability analysis, or a related field. Experience in remote work is preferred.
• Technical Skills:
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, threat analysis, and research methodologies.
  • Experience using threat intelligence platforms and tools (e.g., ThreatConnect, MISP, Anomali, etc.).
  • Familiarity with scripting languages (Python, Bash, or PowerShell) to automate research tasks.
  • Knowledge of malware analysis, reverse engineering, or security testing methodologies.
  • Understanding of the MITRE ATT&CK framework and its application in threat analysis.
• Certifications: Industry-recognized certifications, such as CEH, GCIH, CompTIA CySA+, or equivalent, are highly desirable.
• Research and Analytical Skills: Strong research abilities focusing on understanding attacker tactics, techniques, and procedures. Ability to collect, analyze, and synthesize information from various sources.
• Problem-Solving Abilities: Ability to analyze complex security issues, think creatively, and propose practical solutions to protect against cyber threats.
• Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to document and present technical research to both technical and non-technical audiences. Proficiency in preparing intelligence reports and briefings.
• Team Player: Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including security operations, red/blue teams, and IT staff.
