Key Responsibilities:

• Lead a Team of Cybersecurity Professionals: Manage, mentor, and lead a team of cybersecurity analysts and engineers. Provide guidance, coaching, and support to help team members achieve their full potential and ensure continuous professional development.
• Security Operations Management: Oversee day-to-day cybersecurity operations, including monitoring, threat detection, analysis, and incident response activities. Ensure the timely and efficient handling of security incidents and alerts while coordinating response efforts with other teams and stakeholders.
• Security Strategy and Planning: Contribute to developing and implementing the organization's cybersecurity strategy. Work closely with senior leadership to align cybersecurity initiatives with business goals and provide recommendations on new security measures and technologies.
• Incident Response and Mitigation: Lead and coordinate response activities for security incidents. Develop response plans, coordinate communication with stakeholders, and ensure effective containment, eradication, and recovery measures during incidents.
• Vulnerability Management and Risk Assessment: Conduct and oversee risk management efforts. Work with team members to identify, evaluate, and remediate vulnerabilities, ensuring the organization's systems are protected against emerging threats.
• Policy Development and Compliance: Develop, implement, and enforce cybersecurity policies, standards, and best practices across the organization. Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards such as NIST, GDPR, and ISO 27001.
• Collaboration Across Teams: Work closely with IT, development, compliance, and other teams to integrate cybersecurity best practices into daily operations and project planning. Ensure that security requirements are addressed throughout the project's lifecycle.
• Security Awareness and Training: Develop and deliver training programs to promote cybersecurity awareness and educate employees on cybersecurity best practices, policies, and emerging threats.
• Reporting and Metrics: Monitor, track, and report on the cybersecurity team's and security initiatives' performance. Provide regular updates to senior management on incident response, vulnerabilities, and risk reduction metrics.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay informed about cybersecurity trends, tools, technologies, threat actor tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs). Identify opportunities to improve existing processes, workflows, and security controls to enhance the organization's security posture.

Key Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field. Equivalent work experience may also be considered.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity, including at least 2 years in a leadership or team lead role. Experience working in a remote environment is a plus.
• Technical Skills:
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, frameworks, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in security technologies, such as firewalls, SIEM, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection, and vulnerability management tools.
  • Experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP) and the ability to manage security in cloud environments.
  • Familiarity with scripting and automation tools (Python, Bash, PowerShell) is a plus.
• Certifications: Industry-recognized certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, CompTIA Security+, or equivalent are highly desirable.
• Leadership and Mentorship Skills: Proven ability to lead a team of cybersecurity professionals, providing support, guidance, and feedback. Ability to inspire and motivate team members to achieve their best work.
• Problem-Solving and Analytical Abilities: Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify, assess, and resolve complex security issues. Ability to think strategically and make decisions under pressure during security incidents.
• Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to convey technical information to technical and non-technical stakeholders and to engage effectively with various levels of management.
• Collaboration Skills: Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams. Ability to build strong relationships and foster collaboration within the cybersecurity team and across the organization.
• Attention to Detail: High attention to detail and a commitment to ensuring accuracy and completeness in all activities, including incident response, reporting, and documentation.
