Job Description:

Naukri Mitra seeks an experienced and motivated Remote Cybersecurity Technical Writer to join our client’s team. As a Cybersecurity Technical Writer, you will play a key role in ensuring that complex technical information related to cybersecurity practices, protocols, and products is accessible and understandable to various audiences. This role is ideal for someone with a deep understanding of cybersecurity concepts, an aptitude for writing, and an ability to work in a remote and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Technical Documentation Development: Develop and maintain clear and concise technical documents, including user guides, manuals, whitepapers, FAQs, and best practices for cybersecurity tools and protocols—tailor content to suit technical and non-technical audiences, internal teams, and external customers.
• Research and Analysis: Conduct in-depth research on cybersecurity products, technologies, and trends to create well-informed content. Gather information through collaboration with subject matter experts (SMEs), product developers, and engineers.
• Content Standardization: Establish consistent standards for technical content, ensuring all documentation follows a uniform structure, tone, and style. Develop templates and documentation guides that support a consistent approach to content creation.
• Collaboration with Cybersecurity Teams: Collaborate with cybersecurity engineers, analysts, and developers to translate technical concepts into clear, precise, and user-friendly written materials. Participate in project meetings and maintain effective communication to stay informed on cybersecurity initiatives.
• User-Focused Writing: Write user-centric content that simplifies complex cybersecurity topics for a broad audience. Understand the needs of various end-users, such as developers, IT professionals, and non-technical clients, and create content that caters to their needs.
• Content Review and Editing: Review and edit content produced by other team members, ensuring that it meets the highest standards of quality and accuracy. Provide feedback on grammar, structure, tone, and technical accuracy, maintaining consistency across all documents.
• Knowledge Base Management: Maintain and update an internal knowledge base for cybersecurity practices, product features, and troubleshooting guides. Ensure the information remains current, accurate, and useful for internal and external stakeholders.
• Compliance and Security Standards: Ensure that all written content adheres to industry standards for cybersecurity, including compliance with relevant regulations and best practices. Collaborate with internal compliance teams to ensure documentation aligns with security standards.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Technical Writing, or a related field. A master's degree or relevant certifications in cybersecurity is a plus.
• Experience: A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in technical writing, focusing on cybersecurity or IT-related content, is desirable. Proven experience creating technical documentation for software products, cybersecurity protocols, or IT systems is also highly desirable.
• Technical Knowledge: The candidate must have a strong understanding of cybersecurity concepts, including network security, firewalls, encryption, malware protection, risk management, and compliance. Familiarity with security frameworks such as NIST, ISO, and CIS is an advantage.
• Writing and Editing Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail. Ability to produce high-quality, engaging, and user-friendly content that clearly explains complex technical concepts to different audiences.
• Research Skills: Strong research skills, including quickly understanding new technologies and translating them into practical and informative written materials.
• Tools and Software: Proficiency in using technical writing tools, such as Microsoft Word, Google Docs, Markdown, and content management systems (CMS). Experience with diagramming tools (e.g., Visio, Lucidchart) and knowledge base management tools is a plus.
• Adaptability: Ability to work effectively in a remote environment while collaborating with diverse teams across multiple time zones. Adaptable to changing requirements and able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
• Certifications: Technical writing certifications (e.g., Certified Professional Technical Communicator) or cybersecurity certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CISSP) are desirable but not mandatory.
