Job Description:
Naukri Mitra is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Defense and Military Cybersecurity Analyst to join a dynamic team of experts in the field. Key Responsibilities:

1. Cybersecurity Threat Assessment and Response:
   • Continuously monitor defense and military systems for threats and vulnerabilities using industry-standard tools and techniques.
   • Analyze network traffic and security events to detect malicious activity and respond accordingly to minimize risk.
   • Develop, implement, and refine cybersecurity incident response protocols to protect sensitive information from unauthorized access, data breaches, or cyberattacks.
   • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to address vulnerabilities and implement timely corrective actions.
2. Security Operations and Monitoring:
   • Proactively monitor network and system activities to identify, analyze, and respond to potential security incidents in real time.
   • Manage and enhance security controls, such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and other security-related tools.
   • Conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and regular audits to ensure systems comply with defense cybersecurity standards.
3. Risk Analysis and Vulnerability Management:
   • Assess cybersecurity risks and assist in developing strategic mitigation plans to ensure the highest level of security for defense and military systems.
   • Evaluate security policies and recommend updates to align with best practices and emerging threats.
   • Conduct system and application vulnerability assessments to determine exposure areas and provide detailed recommendations for improvement.
4. Policy Development and Compliance:
   • Develop and maintain cybersecurity policies and procedures to ensure compliance with national and international defense standards and regulations.
   • Work collaboratively with IT teams to ensure all systems adhere to strict security and regulatory compliance requirements.
   • Participate in security assessments and audits to provide evidence of compliance and create reports as needed for senior leadership.
5. Technical Guidance and Training:
   • Provide technical guidance and support to stakeholders, including other IT teams, in implementing and maintaining robust cybersecurity measures.
   • Conduct training sessions and awareness programs to educate personnel on cybersecurity best practices, incident reporting, and preventive measures.
   • Serve as the primary point of contact for cybersecurity matters and mentor junior analysts.
6. Incident Handling and Forensics:
   • Lead incident response activities, including triaging, containment, mitigation, and recovery of affected systems.
   • Perform forensic analysis of compromised systems to identify root causes and develop strategies to prevent future incidents.
   • Document all incidents and create detailed post-incident reports to ensure lessons learned are incorporated into ongoing security efforts.
7. Collaboration and Communication:
   • Collaborate with intelligence teams to stay informed of threats and vulnerabilities affecting military and defense operations.
   • To safeguard critical infrastructure, effectively collaborate with multiple stakeholders, including government entities, contractors, and third-party vendors.
   • Maintain open lines of communication with senior leadership to ensure they are informed of cybersecurity risks and developments.

Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications in cybersecurity (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH) are highly preferred.
• Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, with specific expertise in defense and/or military cybersecurity operations.
• Technical Skills:
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks, such as NIST, ISO 27001, or similar.
  • Hands-on experience with SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) tools, IDS/IPS, firewalls, and endpoint detection and response systems.
  • In-depth knowledge of incident response methodologies, malware analysis, and digital forensics.
  • Experience conducting penetration testing, risk analysis, and vulnerability assessments.
• Soft Skills:
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to think critically and make well-reasoned decisions under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment and as part of a diverse, collaborative team.
• Clearance Requirements:
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, as required by the role.
