Job Description
We seek a skilled and experienced Dental Transcriptionist to join our client's team remotely. As a Dental Transcriptionist, you will play a crucial role in accurately documenting patient records, dental charts, and treatment details from audio files provided by dentists. Your role will help ensure patient care's efficiency and quality by converting oral reports into well-organized written documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately transcribe dictated audio recordings from dentists, hygienists, and other dental professionals into electronic dental records.

• Handle dental records in compliance with HIPAA regulations, ensuring the confidentiality of patient information.
• Effectively communicate with dental professionals to clarify ambiguities and ensure accuracy in documentation.
• Organize and maintain an electronic filing system for dental transcriptions, enabling easy data retrieval.
• Prioritize and complete transcriptions promptly, adhering to set deadlines.
• Adapt to evolving transcription standards and practices to improve the overall efficiency of the workflow.

Qualifications and Skills

• Proven experience as a Dental Transcriptionist or Medical Transcriptionist.
• Comprehensive understanding of dental terminology, dental procedures, and medical record-keeping practices.
• Excellent listening and comprehension skills to accurately capture the audio recordings' essence.
• Strong command of the English language, including grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
• Proficiency in word processing software, such as Microsoft Word, and familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) software.
• Ability to type at least 60 words per minute with high accuracy.
• High level of attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining quality and accuracy in all documentation.
• Familiarity with HIPAA regulations regarding patient information confidentiality.
• Self-motivated with excellent organizational skills and the ability to work independently in a remote setting.
