Key Responsibilities:
- Editorial Workflow Management:
- Oversee and manage the editorial calendar, including scheduling and tracking deadlines for content creation, revisions, and publication.
- Coordinate with writers, editors, and other stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of content and adherence to quality standards.
- Monitor project progress and address any issues that may arise, facilitating communication and problem-solving as needed.
- Content Management:
- Organize and maintain digital content assets, including articles, images, and multimedia files, ensuring easy access and retrieval.
- Implement and maintain content management systems (CMS), ensuring that all content is correctly categorized, tagged, and updated.
- Assist in content editing and proofreading, ensuring consistency and adherence to editorial guidelines and style standards.
- Team Coordination and Communication:
- Act as a liaison between editorial teams, providing support and facilitating communication to ensure alignment on project goals and deadlines.
- Schedule and coordinate meetings, including editorial reviews, team check-ins, and project planning sessions.
- Prepare and distribute meeting agendas, minutes, and follow-up action items.
- Process Improvement:
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of editorial workflows.
- Develop and maintain documentation for editorial procedures, guidelines, and best practices.
- Monitor industry trends and technological advancements, recommending tools and techniques to streamline operations.
- Reporting and Analysis:
- Generate and analyze reports on editorial activities, including project status, content performance, and team productivity.
- Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis to support strategic decision-making and operational improvements.
- Administrative Support:
- Provide administrative support to senior editorial staff, including scheduling appointments, managing correspondence, and handling other tasks as required.
- Maintain accurate records of editorial activities, including contracts, invoices, and other documentation.
- Assist in onboarding new team members and provide training on editorial tools and processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelorโs degree in English, Communications, Journalism, or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in editorial administration, project management, or a similar role.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in content management systems (CMS) and office productivity tools (e.g., Microsoft Office, Google Workspace).
- Familiarity with editorial standards and style guides (e.g., AP, Chicago).
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote work environment.
