Overview:

We seek a highly skilled and creative Educational Content Designer to join our remote team. Key Responsibilities:

  1. Content Development:
    • Design and develop engaging educational materials, including online courses, multimedia presentations, instructional guides, and assessments.
    • Create content aligned with curriculum standards and learning objectives, ensuring it meets the needs of diverse learners.
    • Utilize instructional design principles and adult learning theories to develop content that enhances learner engagement and knowledge retention.
  2. Project Management:
    • Manage multiple content development projects simultaneously, ensuring all deliverables are completed on time and within budget.
    • Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to gather information and ensure the accuracy and relevance of content.
    • Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and documentation to track progress and communicate updates to stakeholders.
  3. Instructional Design:
    • Apply instructional design models and frameworks like ADDIE or SAM to create practical and interactive learning experiences.
    • Develop detailed storyboards and prototypes to visualize and test content before final production.
    • Incorporate multimedia elements, such as videos, animations, and interactive simulations, to enhance the learning experience.
  4. Quality Assurance:
    • Review and revise educational content based on feedback from users and stakeholders to ensure high quality and effectiveness.
    • Conduct usability testing to identify areas for improvement and make necessary adjustments to optimize content delivery.
    • Ensure that all content adheres to accessibility standards and best practices.
  5. Collaboration and Communication:
    • Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver cohesive and compelling content, including instructional designers, graphic designers, and developers.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Education, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
  • At least 5 years of experience in instructional design, educational content development, or a related role.
  • Proven expertise in designing and developing online learning materials and multimedia content.
  • Strong knowledge of instructional design models and theories, including ADDIE, SAM, or similar frameworks.
  • Proficiency in e-learning authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, or similar software.
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and understanding SCORM, xAPI, and other e-learning standards.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly and engagingly.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality content that meets educational goals.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote work environment.
